    The Neighbor.......

I see no point in complaining about bad neighbours. Karma takes care of it all by itself. Life's too short to be pissed off for too long.....

Such thing as a "weak" water pump

Great that you solved it, but i would like to add, if it is equipped with a thermostat, its there to regulate temperature. More often than not, thermostats fail in the open position.this does not necessarily mean it will run cold, but it will gradually heat up to the point where it will overheat...

    B7100 - Excessive Smoking

I would agree with wolfman, coolant loos is bad enough and repeatedly overheating is just destroying the engine.

Clean your cable ends and posts. I converted my 52 cockshutt 40 to 12 volts and from pos ground to neg. the winding and design of starter determines rotation. The windings in a 6 volt starter are heavier than 12 volt starters due to the amperage demand. Lower volts equals higher amps. When i...

    The Neighbor.......

Good neighbours bad neighbours. I make an effort one time and if its good then all is fine in the universe. Its in my nature to help people. Take advantage of my good nature or cause me frustration and things change. Another shop called me in need of my particular skill. Lil ol lady had car...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Pulled mower, switched to forks. Pulled rear diff out of my parts truck and carried it over to pressure washer, then over to shop for paint and install. It is so handy i may need to build a rig just for moving differentials around for service. Seems to be a few times a year, would like a rig just...

    Implement for stumps

I agree with a small excavator. A subsoiler or some other single pointed implement for the back of a tractor may work.or a breaking plow, but would need a large machine and it would make a mess and a lot of manual labour.

What is this worth ? (ballpark)

I have an L1501 and would really like a loader. Yup its 2wd and i would manage. Try a 1952 cockshutt 40 with a loader, its like driving a bus. Just need an acre to turn it around. 5500 is steep. US Dollars is out of my realm but i wouldnt drop a penny over 3500 canadian pesos for it. My lil...

    Dead Battery

Battey has a dead cell. The tender should bring it up on overnight charge. New good battery should register close to 13.2 volts. 2.2 volts per cell. 6 cell for a 12 volt battery.

    Truck ramp,deck and tailgate

So the aluminum box ford showed up. Driver says if i build it heavier than usual that would be great. Its real light in the back and hard to keep in a straight line on rough gravel roads. Lets see what unfolds in the next few days....

    CCA vs MCA

Optima batteries are agm. The longevity isnt much different than your typical battery of equivalent cca. I was disappointed when one day it dropped dead, the dealer i bought it from discontinued the optima line and no other dealers would touch it. So,dead optima 50% of its expected lifespan and...

    Winches

Other than the weight, it makes perfect sense to me. I want to put winch connectors on all my machines and all 3 trucks. Not only for winching, but boosting too.i have three sets waiting to be installed, i just dont have the heart to cut my booster cables yet. They are expensive ones.
