I have a hose leaking on my FEL, LA504 on my B3200 HSD. I took the hose to my dealer, was told by the parts guy he can make me one but it might not fight; I said Ok how about ordering OEM from Kubota. He asked where it came off of, explained top right side as your sitting on the tractor. It came from the top area of the cylinder and ran down into lower arm on right side and attached to hard line there. He had a diagram on his computer, wouldn't allow me to look at it to show him which hose I was speaking of. Explained that I needed to go home, see exactly where the hose came from and come back before their order went in that afternoon. I had called earlier was told if I could bring the hose in they'd match it and make a new one for me and I'd be back to doing what I needed. Needless to say, is this the norm for having a hydraulic hose replaced, needs replacing do to leaking, small leak but none the less leaking. Just looking for insight, have never had to work on the hoses before.

I have to agree, i made many hydraulic hoses in the past, working on getting a press to make them here in my shop.

The parts guy is a knob, has not been instructed in the art of hose making and likely couldnt tell the difference between orb and jic.

His parts and people skills likely suck too.

I order all my parts by number,my return rate is near zero. This month was 2 parts one of which was incorrect the other i just didnt need.

I dont get it, it ain't rocket science....

Download this to figure out the type and size of the connectors on the hose:https://www.discounthydraulichose.com/v/vspfiles/downloadables/thread_guide.pdf

Measure the length based on the guide here:https://www.discounthydraulichose.com/Made_to_Order_Hose_Assemblies_s/74.htm

Then you can order the hose from the link above and should have it in 2-3 days. Probably a much less expensive way, even with shipping. If any of the other hoses look questionable go ahead and get replacements for those as well, with shipping spread over several items it doesn't seem as bad.

I'll bet if you look around you can find a place that can make you a hose on site in a few minutes. I know the Caterpillar dealer just down the road has everything in stock and advertises on their sign out front. That's better than going to Kubota and waiting a couple days for one to get shipped.

Most good auto parts store like NAPA make them, equipment dealers of any brand tractors and construction equipment, big truck shops and so on. I have found that having them made locally is not any more than ordering them and paying shipping.
