    Pellet stoves

They do not gravity feed into the burn pot. Most auger uphill to a chute then pellets drop into the burn pot. Power failure is a problem,as mentioned a battery backup would help with that concern. Once running, most stoves run on about 200 watts so it doesent take a lot to keep it running.

    Automotive safety features that........

Close. There are dual sensors for pedal position and two sensors for throttle plate position. A fault in any one sensor will reduce engine power. Enough to maintain brakes and steering. Its called limp mode. Dont get me wrong i do not care for this system at all. Not really a safety feature...

    Pellet stoves

Bought a kozi baywin. Its internal components are identical to my kozi ksh shop heater. They are manufactured in winnipeg, so for me its a no brainer.

    Pellet stoves

You will be shocked over the price of repair parts. Serviceability is a big thing for me, especially if i want unit to last. The big box stores carry offshore units and likely parts are non-existent. Even the cheapest harmon is by far steps above the cheap offshore ones. Buy an ash vac,if you...

How is the pellet making going?

Today i went to the colony,170 per ton in a tote. Over $6.00 from my regular supplier. The pellets are 3/8” and 30 to 40% hardwood. Gave me a pail full to try. Im not even thinking about making pellets now. Friend has been saving jugs he gets cat litter in,saved up 25 or so. Perfect for the...

What stupid thing have you done today

The chain brake is a anti-kickback safety feature. It is not a brake like you would use in a car to stop. Any instructor that teaches that should know.or shouldnt be instructing. Periodic testing of the brake is necessary,it Is an emergency stop. Wear the thing out, wear the drum out and all of...

What stupid thing have you done today

I have used chaps (department issue and mandatory)and i found them uncomfortable and get caught on every branch. Reason i reccomended the pants-aka trousers. I would rather be sweating then tripping and falling on a running saw. Guy fell on his saw, chain was stopped but left a few good...

What stupid thing have you done today

Two words. Chainsaw pants. Up here $100 with tax. We spent the day today cleaning up 14 big willow trees. Buddy wasnt wearing his gear but we kept area clear as he was cutting. On slip and nail a major artery and you wont make it to the truck. That is gonna leave a mark. Will hurt tomorrow...

Buy or build, back hoe attachment

I have considered the same thing. But my l1501 is too small to accomplish tasks that require a larger machine. So, i did find a backhoe from a clark industrial tractor and will make either a tow behind or fit it on the back of my 40 hp cockshutt. I can tell you from experience a 4 foot stump...

How is the pellet making going?

Re: How the pellet making going? Had enough. As in its no longer viable to fight with that machine. Moisture is a big issue. At a shop rate of 70/hour i am further ahead to buy. And to top it off a local hutterite colony is making them. I have a contact and looking at 150/ton. Anybody want a...

    Downrigger issue

First question i would ask is does it stay up on its own ? I thinking control valve issue. Likely leaking internally. Swap cylinders. That will tell you all you need to know.

    trailer 7 pin plug

Also depending on vehicle, trailer lights and rear taillights operate seperately. If the signals on truck work, doesent mean the trailer plug is working. Bad connector, blown fuses or bad relays. For me,where i used to work it was a near daily thing.

    trailer 7 pin plug

I usually start with tow vehicle, test all circuits, then to trailer. If you havent split connector, you will likely find wires off inside.common. My best attempt was soldering small ring terminals on and screwing them then corrosion inhibiting grease.a foot of wire rope tied into the cord and...
