What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Used the hoe to hold up logs for cutting in to rounds. Kinda annoying jumping on and off the machine, but very nice on the back compared to cutting on the ground. Plus I need to do everything I can to justify the purchase!

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Last few days I’ve been testing out a new spot I cleared and leveled for wood related hobbies. Cut some firewood, and grabbed some logs from my brothers property I’m going to mill for him. Between the forks, grapple, and backhoe, I’m getting good at moving wood around!

    2502 (later turbo) vs 3902

Oh, you sure did. I guess I went to bed too late and woke up too early haha. My bad. (And when I see other people not totally read a post thoroughly before replying I judge them. I should be less judgmental!)

    2502 (later turbo) vs 3902

If I were in your shoes I’d probably get an L2502. Simple basic machine that’s pretty capable and not crazy expensive (I guess that’s a matter of perspective isn’t it). I had a B2301 and found it to feel rather tippy to me. I have an L4701 now and really appreciate the more stable feeling of...

    2502 (later turbo) vs 3902

He’s considering the B26, which is different than the B2601.

Picture of your tractor on your trailer

Yup! I don’t have truck brand loyalty personally, but I figured some folks may have an opinion about it haha. The 2018 Chevy 1500 is my first truck. I really like it, except for the blown trans at 88k. I don’t even tow or plow with it. Maybe I’ll get a Ford next time. Or a Toyota. Those all...

Here’s mine. Oh wait. That’s my truck on a trailer. Blown trans at 88k :-( Brother let me borrow his rig to tow it over a hundred miles home.

45 degrees? Like, from one side to the other?

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Did they refund your money?! My neighbor got two tandems of crusher run for free last year because they accidentally delivered to the wrong address. I was so jealous! And the neighbor who ordered it got his delivered too, after the mistake was discovered.

I like your fix. Do you know how old the posts are? And what material they were? I’ve been thinking about how to build a carport, and I’m concerned I’ll outlive a pole style building.

I looked through the build thread, wow! Very impressed.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

If you have SSQA and don’t have a set of forks, they’re great. Honestly, sometimes I wonder if my grapple was worth the money when I could just use forks. Not a popular opinion around here! But I have two toddlers, and perhaps the money I spent on the grapple could have been better spent...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

You’d think they could at least give you like the next service filters and a hat. That wouldn’t cost them much, and it’d be a nice token gesture.

    Post hole digger

I had a “County Line” (Tractor Supply brand) on my B2301. Just fit; if my memory serves lifted up there was a few inches of ground clearance. My soil is so rocky that I found it pretty much useless and sold it. I thought the TSC one seemed pretty well made, at least at that time. If I had...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Today I used the tractor to help a neighbor plant some trees, and to get my kids new play set (Craigslist free score) out of my truck and in to the yard. Both things could have been done with some muscle, but what fun would that have been?

    3 point back blade ?

Nice! I liked the five foot Land Pride backblade I had on my B2301. Only thing it stinks at is offsetting (adjusting the blade so it’s more left or right of center). You gotta unbolt the moldboard and then it flops over as you’re trying to like up the bolts. This very well be a non-issue if...

    3 point back blade ?

A little ballet never hurts. And I’ve found with my B and my L that the front snow pusher isn’t always the best tool for the job, sometimes the back blade works better. For example, long runs you can use the back blade to just throw it to the side as you drive. On the lawn, the back blade...

    L4802 or MX5400 to purchase?

I bought an L401. I would have preferred an MX5400, but at the time the price difference combined with the financing difference (L series had 0%) added up to quite a bit more money and put the MX out of my budget. If you’re like me, you’d be very happy with the L, but if you go that route on...
