Great replies folks. Thanks. I'll be looking for a 5 foot rear blade since it will dual purpose, weight and snow removal. Only need it during moving snow and using the front bucket. Thanks again folks.
Right on! If you remember after you get it and use it, drop in and let us know how it’s working for you!

Found a used 5 foot back blade for $350. Going to check it out this week. It’s a land pride. About half the price of new.

Nice! I liked the five foot Land Pride backblade I had on my B2301. Only thing it stinks at is offsetting (adjusting the blade so it’s more left or right of center). You gotta unbolt the moldboard and then it flops over as you’re trying to like up the bolts. This very well be a non-issue if you’re just moving snow with it (didn’t become an issue for me until I was trying to clean out roadside ditches with mine).

$350 seems like a good deal to me, and we’ll worth the money.

I run a 5FT woods blade and really like it. It's built well and beefy!

Sorry I'm late to the party but I use my rear blade for ballast a lot on my MX, especially when using my grapple for heavy lifting. Mine weighs in at 950+ lbs so it does really well. The other nice thing is I reverse the blade and I can smooth out or level anything. For light work I use my box blade.
I think you'll be pleased with it your new blade.

Helps tremendously! Each brick weighs 22.5# X 30 = 675# plus 300# for the blade. Great with FEL and front snowblower and traction in the winter. I didn’t want ballast in tires or chains. Also grooved tires!

Picked up a used 5 foot Land Pride blade today. Not bad for $350.00.
I had that exact blade on my previous (much smaller tractor). It’s tough and as much as I abused it, it never broke. But it is light, so for many uses, it’s a good idea to add weight to the blade.

Good to hear. Already working on a way to add weight. Thanks for posting.
