    LA535 Loader 54 vs 60" Bucket

Wider is better for light material. I think either will work or they wouldn’t offer them. Narrow is better for tight spaces. I don’t think 6 inches will make it that much more manueverable. I’ve only had my tractor 6 weeks, but my 66 inch bucket doesn’t seem too wide on my L2501. I’d look...

    What's cookin' boys?

Daughter wanted roast for Bday. Smoked for 45 minutes on the Traeger with Hickory flavor than braised in Dutch Oven for 6 hrs in the oven at 275 with 2 boulion cubes and two cups of water. Seems to be the favorite dish nowadays. Super moist and tender. Btw, this also works with potatos...

Which tires should I order on my B2601

Turf tires are supposedly great for snow or grass. I’d go with the wider ones to cause less damage to the turf.

    L4701 vs Mx5400 vs m6060

I think you should look into all possible models/sizes. It sounds like you aren’t sure if you want bigger or not. I’d probably also consider a cab while you are at it. Take a reasonable length of time and watch Messicks on youtube, but also go to dealers that have stock. Also, think about...

Looking at ordering a LX2610, Questions on Options

Neil at Messicks said the SU can have larger tires due to no mower deck.

Where to buy a real post hole tamping prying bar

I bought one at Harbor Freight. In spite of the chinese made stuff, it’s very stout or maybe it’s just strong because I’m old now. My younger self might have been able to bend/break it. https://www.harborfreight.com/lawn-garden/gardening-garden-tools/17-lb-digging-bar-with-tamper-93612.html

    SideCar Flip ?

Interesting that some of you guys pick fights with your nonhelpful smart alec comments to other people, and then play the victim. I know ... try not injecting the comments next time if you have nothing helpful to add. If you just want to post to see your words, how about starting your own thread?

Kubota 3901 compared to Massey 1840 buying advice

Yes, resale value of the Kubota is much better.

    3901 vs house demolition

I think I’d rather burn it down as well. You may have to remove some materials if they asphalt, synthetic etc. Otherwise, burn it down.

    R1 vs R4 for L3901

There are a few videos by Messicks that describe the differences. The R4s are wider and tougher tires. Working in the woods they are stronger when you hit sticks etc and don’t flex as much when you have a heavy loader. That’s important when you have a grapple. R4s also last longer. R1s...

    Filters

I’m right at the edge of needing filters. I will stay with Kubota. It’s not a Kubota thing. Diesels are generally very intollerant of nonOEM filters. Just say no ... you won’t save that much money to do otherwise, but it can cost a lot of money.

    L3901 HST transmission whine

The LX vs R comparison was Kubota’s not mine like Good Works comparing the Bs to R. My guess is they know what comparisions people make whether valid or not. For those of you who don’t know Good Works guy is generally a JD fan. Fwiw, Tractor Time with Tim made an extensive comparison in...

Best rope for bringing trees down

I guess I would use synthetic winch line. For some reason, winch extension lines seems cheaper than winch line. They have a connection for a clevis on both ends. I’m not trying to be safety Sally, but I’ve also heard a few people say that if you need a rope, you aren’t taking down the tree...

    L3901 HST transmission whine

It’s hard to find a direct comparison since it’s not considered the same size. However, if you look at the specs for a LX3310 vs 2032R, you can see some of the reasons. https://www.kubotausa.com/docs/default-source/product-comparison-pdfs/lx-competitive-comparison-2020.pdf?sfvrsn=bc470510_2...

    L3901 HST transmission whine

The 2038R is not this class of tractor. Even the standard L is much more tractor.

    L3901 HST transmission whine

From all I’ve heard, more whine happens if you are trying to accelerate fast in too high of a gear. Try pushing the treddle down less when you are starting out.

    Kubota Response to Questions

Yeah, I have OEM spacers on my L2501. The point of the OEM spacers is to give slightly more room for chains. They are about 1 inch on the standard L series. Others here have noted they have 2-3 inch models. One person implied they thought 3 inches was fine on the R4s since that makes it...

Bought my first Kubota. Was it a mistake?

My UTV is a Ranger, but from hanging out in that forum, all brands have an occasional bad one. I hope that your’s is sorted out pretty soon. Have you asked for a temporary loaner? Maybe that is possible.
