Reducing erosion V for downhill trail.

I’m thinking about leveling a erosion V where existing drainage happens for my UTV. Total length is probably around 50 yds. There is quite a bit of a V. I can straddle it with the UTV, but of course, it would be easier if there was more level area for the UTV tires on each side of the V. I...

My response wasn’t to your post. D2Cat posted to a link to a socially responsible group. It looks like he might have deleted his post. Sorry for the confusion.

    Martin House Help...

The problem is English Sparrows will use Blue Bird sized holes. Some people have tried slots. I’m happy that you don’t have a problem with them. Supposedly, House Finches and English Sparrows compete. I had a few House Finches move onto my property two years ago and my English Sparrow...

When a site says it is trying for socially responsible methods, it’s pretty clear it’s about an agenda and not the law. That’s ok, but hardly a reasonable source for what’s legal.

    Martin House Help...

House Sparrows are nonnative that attack other birds including Blue Birds. You can do whatever you want to get rid of them including shooting them. There are lots of methods people use to discourage House Sparrows including adding monofilament, foil, etc. One male can “claim” lots of houses...

Best place to put lift chain on bucket of loader

I think the bottom of the bucket is fine as long you don’t want to support the load againts anything. It would be suspended mid air with nothing to keep it from spinning. That’s also assuming the edge tamers don’t move.

    Show me your Refueling Setup

Just some quick searches says 6-12 months unless it’s been treated. The better question is how can you tell if it is still good or not. Luckily, you don’t have new model, but you’d probably still want very good filters after you treat it before adding to your tank.

Help me decide between two sheds!

If you made it 16 wide by 12 deep, you could have a roll door on one side and a roll up door on the other. Rollup would be more handy for snow, but roll door could give you a wider space as well as taller door. My large shed is setup that way.

Help me decide between two sheds!

A few thoughts, if you ever plan to stay hooked up with loader the length could be advantageous. Also, if you ever planned to sell, making it more useful for a truck, trailer, boat, etc would be a good idea. I like my sliding door for the tractor, and I can leave the ROPS up. “Two” sides...

    Culvert do-over ... rocks?

As part of the Spring road rebuild, the neighbors dug out the culvert next to my driveway entrance that I didn’t even know existed. The goal is to prevent the gravel road from washing out. I’m on the uphill side/entrance to the culvert. Should I add big rocks on the uphill side, etc? I’m...

    New L2501 purchased today

Sounds good. Congrats! A few little things I’d consider adding. Right side handle and telescoping 3 point hitch. If they will weld hooks to the bucket, have them do that before delivery.

    Bent Loader

I feel for you. I just spent hours straightening my mounts for my snow plow on my Polaris Ranger. I’m pretty sure I was going much faster > 10 probably when I came to my sudden stop. It worked ok to finish the season. I straightened it out to be ready for next year. In my case, it might have...

Best place to put lift chain on bucket of loader

Either place can work, but I think you need to pay attention to what’s strong. I’m planning to put hooks on top because my bucket is reinforced on top and that’s where I’m welding over the loader cylinders. I will make a short length of chain to go between the hooks and attach a slide type hook...

    BORA wheel spacers

I have the stock spacers. In hind sight, I maybe should have bought 3 inch instead of the 1 inch stock ones. Of course, it was much easier to have the dealer install the 1 inch as part of the deal. I can’t say I have a real issue, but 4 inches wider would probably be better.
