Well today was the day I joined team orange and got my first tractor

LX2610SUHSD
LA535 with mechanical self-leveling kit
RTR1258 tiller
BB1260 box blade
RB1572 rear blade
PFL1242 pallet forks
QH15 quick hitch
Third function valve installed

$25000 even. I feel like I got a great price just waiting on a few implements to come in and I should have it in the next couple weeks!

You're gonna love it. For a 'little' tractor, it's got a big tractor attitude. I bought the same tractor with the BB1248 (one thing I would change) and was originally planning on the BH77 hoe. I think I've talked myself outta the hoe, but have got a stump bucket and tooth bar for the factory bucket. I may yet add the 3FV for a grapple. I've got lots of brush and stuff to handle, tons of roots to collect and do something with. I highly recommend a tooth bar on the stock bucket.

You'll find you've just found a way to spend a lotta money, but it's FUN. A bad day on a tractor is better than a good day at work.

What would you change about the BB1248? I was considering adding one to my LX2610 purchase

To a BB1260. The 48 is a bit small for the LX2610SU, especially with the fat tires. Rear tires have a track of 52.5 in, fronts are 37.5 in. Blade doesn't quite cover the tracks, and I think it might be a ilttle on the light side if you have lots of roots. They tend to hang where the curved blades meet the side panel of the box, particularly stuff under 1" diameter.

Word of experience. If the heaviest thing you're going to lift with the 3PH is under 1000 lbs, and you have the big tires, move the bottom ends of the lift links. The lift arms have two holes. Use the ones closest to the tractor for the maximum lifting travel, and the ones farthest away for the maximum lifting torque/strength. With the big R14's, you'll find the box barely touches with the lift all the way down in the factory position for the lift links. This reduces lift capacity by about 20%, but gives an extra 5-6 inches of lift range up and down. I still have no problem lifting a WC-68, which is 850 lbs. and the heaviest attachment I have, and I can now make the box blade do a bit more work for me. I was having problems with leaving crowns in the direction of travel because when the front wheels dropped, it would lift the blade. I was leaving a hump in everything I tried to level. It would probably work OK with standard tires, though. Crowning issue definitely resolved, especially when pushing with it in reverse.

Lift strength really doesn't matter if you can still lift the weight of your heaviest attachment, and how quick you need to raise it. You're not likely to hurt the strongest hydraulic cylinder in the tractor, and since there's no down-force from the 3PH, it makes perfect sense to let it go lower.

What size bucket did you get on the LX2610? I'm thinking of ordering on this week and they sent me a quote with the 54" bucket but that seems slightly narrow to cover the tractor tracks? Is 60" the other option?

I just got my wife a LX3310 and ended up putting the 54" bucket with a cutting edge. It is a beefer bucket and covers the tracks when back dragging (barely). If you are only scooping loose material or light digging , the 60 will do well, but I live in hard chert dirt territory and wanted a little tougher bucket.

What B2710 said. The 60" bucket is a light duty / light material bucket. It isn't designed for heavy digging, but rather for moving mulch and landscaping materials. The 54" bucket on the LA535 is plenty bucket. I've had no problems covering track when back dragging, but that's probably a lofty ambition even with a 60" bucket. The track of the rear wheels is 52.5 inches, but outside to outside of the tires is more like 65" or 66" inches.

If you fill the 54" bucket with wet clay, you're gonna have just about all that LA535 wants. 535Kg or just under 2600 lbs is all it's capable of lifting, including the bucket. I don't remember the weight of the 60" bucket, but seems it was nearly as heavy as the heavier duty 54", that too being for a reason (lifting capacity). Seems it would be a little easier to overload the LA535 with heavy loose material. I moved about 25 yards of loose screened top for my neighbor. Even a bucketful of that is HEAVY when it's damp.

If you want it to dig, you're going to need a tooth bar, even with the 54" bucket. Unless I had a backhoe, I don't think I'd take on a major digging project with the LX2610. If you're concerned about grading and smoothing and hiding your tracks for appearance, then certainly a 60" box blade, or even a 72" (behind the tractor) would be the better choice. My fat R14's are aired up to factory spec, and even a 48" box blade seems to cover it's tracks pretty good. Then again, I've typically used the loaded tires for compacting after I finished grading because I've usually dug a bomb crater with the stump bucket. Out in the open I rough stuff in with the bucket to knock down high spots, but correct it with the box. That's starting to make me wish for a backup camera with my old back and sciatica, but it certainly makes for better finished dirt work. I'm not sure why covering tracks is important when grading or digging. 10 times out of 9, you're gonna make more tracks by packing/tamping, or you're gonna dig up the tracks you just made. Just my opinion, though. If I were tilling or gardening where I didn't want to leave compacted soil, oh yeah, I get it. In that case, you want whatever is chewing up the soil behind you as well.

Too narrow and light. Get a 60" BB.

Regarding the other post about bucket size...get the 60" and add a tooth bar. The tractor will lift a full 60" bucket with whatever material will fit in it (if you have enough rear ballast). You don't always have to fill it entirely if you don't want to. Other than the bolt on cutting edge available for the 54", both buckets are of the same construction.

My $0.02

My apologies to all if this response sounds too harsh...Maybe some SCF has rubbed off on me.

Huh? Not sure where you got that from? Ain't no way it lifts 2600lbs. Not even half that....more like 1100.
