grapple.. and stump bucket question for L2502

I am not a fan of "twisting" my loader arms, so I use one of these to pull stumps. Works great!

    Operation in sand

How sloped? I have a friend who's driveway is so sloped that I have had to put my truck in 4WD to get up it sometimes. But his neighbors only rises about 2 feet over the entire 200' length. Big difference.

    Kubota udt alternative

I don't put enough hours on my machines to worry about the 'cost savings", nor do I have enough time/interest to research the difference between oils, greases, or hydraulic fluids. Kubota has already done the research and testing for me, so SUDT2 and Kubota filters it is. Now if we are talking...

Are bxpanded trenching buckets any good. BX23S

I have their "quick disconnect" link and "ripper tooth" for my 77 and have been very happy with them both. A skinny bucket seems like a good idea, but I have heard that they "plug up" easily in clay, so that might be a consideration.

Can you expand on this? Not sure what it means to "struggle'.

    Hydraulic top link help needed

Dear OP, Trust Dan. He knows his sh!t. Unless you are some type of "hydraulics Guru" that really knows whats up, you are much better buying one ...... Or, putting the DPOCV elsewhere (just as Dan advised me to do).....but I did not listen, and I should have. here is my saga...

How long did your battery last?

On my tractor I have 3'ish years on it, and it shows no sign of getting weak. I have a maintainer, but I'll be damned if I can remember to plug it in. I have always had the best luck with "factory batteries" . I'm not sure what the difference is, but I have always gotten 7-8 years from...

    An Interesting Approach

Yep, you guessed it......another "on the fly" use for the backhoe.

Thanks. I liked it a lot when we moved there, but my life/views/hobbies have changed a lot in the 25 years we have been there. I'm looking forward to the "OK" from SWMBO, for the "lets move" signal. 😉

    New grease gun recommendations please.

I have 2 of these Lincolns that I have been happy with for automotive greasing. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002NYDZ8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have only had them for about 2 years but they have worked well thus far and seem well built. My main "go to" is my...

    Lets talk DRO's my friends!

I was thinking about doing that with a Chi-Com caliper set. I was just thinking that it might be nice/look better to have it all in one set up. Still "kicking it around'. I am going to "seriously" look online today for one. Hahaha...Your "handle" certainly suggests that you are much better...

    Tractor won’t start. Help please

What were you doing at the time? My 2501 did the exact same thing one time, and it ended up that a stick knocked off my filter bowl. I had no idea what happened until I was walking back to the shop and saw my fuel bowl laying on the ground.

    Lets talk DRO's my friends!

I have been looking around a little and I have decided to add a DRO to the new "hobby lathe". I found a SINO 2 axis on Aliexpress for about 80-150 bucks. However I was thinking about getting a 3 axis and adapting the 3rd axis to the tailstock somehow. The cost difference between the two and...
