    First Tractor Advice

Sounds like you want a cab, so for the small difference in money, just get it, and cut your trails to accept it. I have almost always regretted, being a "tight wad" for such the small differences that you pointed out. Especially if I am making payments. I mean for example, is a $475 VS. $425...

    Small engine trouble

I too have tried to "rebuild" these small carbs, to no avail. Although I will freely admit that I have never been good at "carb work", even "back in the day" they frustrated the hell out of me. For 20-30 bucks, just replace it. The new Chi-Com replacements have worked very well for me at...

    M18 Grease Gun

The other day they were giving a 100 buck off your bill if you signed up for a HD charge card. Knocking that down to 79 bucks would be a great deal. Then cancel card in a week or 2.

    add a grapple

Do you have a loader with a SSQA or is it a "pin on " model? Pics of your machine would help with answers.

Welcome sir! Very cool tractor and nice find. (y) Should look very nice when you get everything painted. Try to take pics of your adventures, and post them.;)

    Fabbed up mirror mounts

Good idea (y) Those magnets do a decent job of holding them in place, but the trees kept knocking them off for me.

Very cool idea. (cute kid too (y) )

I tried it and, you're right. They are too tall and keep getting out.

Give me a lever, and a fulcrum on which to place it..............

Oh that has certainly crossed my mind..... So thus far, the "new owners', (some time in the future), will be getting a free "big ass" safe .....and a ????

    LX2610 glow plug timing discrepancy.

Between 4 and 7'mississippi' for me, depending on the temp. In the cold weather (<40f), I also try to plug in the block heater for about an hour, as a general rule.

Thanks. but I am hoping for something like this instead of Bilco doors..... (y) But as my grandpa used to say......"Wish in one hand, and sh!t in the other, and see which one fills up first"

Give me a lever, and a fulcrum on which to place it..............

Yes it is. 2hp single phase. You all actually talked me into wanting a 3 phase, but I got 'caught up" in the moment.

Yea, she's a "keeper" for sure!!!!!!!

Give me a lever, and a fulcrum on which to place it..............

I do not like the idea of a "single smallish Chi-Com cable" being the only thing between the anchor point and my 1K pound lathe as it decends. So when I was at HF, I also picked up a 2 ton "chain fall" to act as a "safety stop" in case things go "kaddi-wampus" Just like I did when I put the...

Give me a lever, and a fulcrum on which to place it..............

It is at this point, where I am at a "cross roads" of sorts. I originally planned to just use two 2x8's to protect the tile as I roll it "Egyptian Style" across the floor; but again, the image of me hearing that "pop!" sound as I crack a floor tile, then envisioning Mrs. RWS going from "calm...

Give me a lever, and a fulcrum on which to place it..............

Ok everyone, I have/had been looking around for a bigger/better/more robust lathe for my "retirement shop". Now my "plan" is/was to buy the "big tools" while I am still "working for the Man" and I have been earnestly looking for the "Mac Daddy" lathe. Well I got a little carried away at the...

Traveller extreme duty 3% moly grease good to go?

For free, I would use it too. (y) But since I have to pay, it's Red-n-Tacky for me. Speaking of which, I have to order some soon.

Are bxpanded trenching buckets any good. BX23S

Yep, I agree. However I have heard that the because the smaller buckets load has less mass, it is harder to "shake it out" thus more likely to have to be dug out by hand. That's just what I "heard", I don't have any actually experience with it personally. Kinda makes sense to me though.

Why cant I seen to find just a complete set of 1/2 inch sockets

WOW! Thats insanity. I am all for buying quality tools, but that is just too much for me. The good part is that my box from "back in the day" is increasing in value apparently. What I found interesting is that my BIL's dealership has "built in" tool boxes now. I saw his big ass box in the...
