    Chains??? Too many choices!

Thank you all for your comments. I really appreciate you sharing your experiences. Narrows down the decision making considerably. I'm ok with only dragging downhill. After the wife bitched that I didn't make the plowing wide enough I used the offset on the blade so I felt more comfortable...

    Chains??? Too many choices!

So with my snow removal experiences the last two days I've come to the conclusion I need a set of chains. My tires are 15-19.5 NHS (on a L3800HST). I see 2 link and 4 link but don't know if 4 link are adequate or any difference in ride comfort. I see Euro and V-link and have no clue if they are...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

^^^ I did the same using my EA back blade. The #1 critic told me yesterday that I didn't make the plowing wide enough :( Using the offset I was able to really widen it today. It's a good day to do it as the temps now are just above freezing so a lot of the driveway will be down to the gravel...

Our old dog Cooper and my daughter's cat Sweety. Cooper went to doggie bone heaven several years ago but that cat is still with my daughter - she has to be 18 years old by now. Cooper was a really laid back dog and the cat was obviously comfy around him. Our black lab at the time was super...

    Coffee Anyone??

Since the Covid explosion I have been working from home (doubt I will ever go back to the office). I developed a routine that I really enjoy. At about 7 or so I log into work and shortly after go to the kitchen to grind fresh coffee for my wife & I. I make 8-10 cups and between our son & the two...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Several years ago (2013??) we got the snowfall of my lifetime. For whatever reason it was a big storm but hit a section around us really hard. We got 40" of snow + drifts. Our dogs walked over the 4' high fence. At the time I had an L3400HST with a 5' Normand (Canadian) rear blower. It took me 3...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Must be the thing to do :) I also greased everything today, checked out the back blade, fueled the tractor and put battery charger on old MEP-003A, old 10kw diesel military genset (with less than 100hrs on it). I'm as ready as I'm going to be.

Better way to see Hydraulic fluid level?

Ok, I'm convinced - Thanks! ordered a small bottle of Deere's dye I was also thinking if there was a way to get to a plug that is protected from everything around the tractor to run a petcock to some plastic tubing. The tubing could be routed up someplace where it could be seen. With the...

Switching From 2WD to 4WD on the Kubota BX2380 ....

On my previous L3400HST and on my current L3800HST I found that moving the steering wheel one way or the other slightly, while depressing the clutch, worked every time.

Better way to see Hydraulic fluid level?

My 'new to me' 2013 L3800HST arrived about 4 months ago with 264 hours on the clock. Being no so much anal as I am careful I changed all the filters except the engine oil as it had 'changed at 260 hrs' written on it. I changed the hydraulic filters but not all the fluid - just the 2 gallons that...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

In the last couple of days I installed the shoes I received from EA for my back blade. I also installed the 3" spacers from Bro_Tek (very nice). Then I couldn't resist doing a little finish grading on my driveway. Its been raining the last couple of days so the driveway is probably thawed for...
