Got a good afternoon of tractoring in.

Neighbor had a couple old rotten logs he wanted moved. When I got there, I saw some rather large bumps and craters from old fallen trees, much like my own back yard. (Surprise surprise, he's two houses away). So, to access one of the logs, I had to be a little rude to some privet hedge (which I HATE anyway). Since I dug the holes to remove the brush, I figured I'd fill them back up. So now, outside his back fence, where he used to destroy mower blades on his little Husqy mower (same model I have) he can now plant some grass seed and have a nice place for deer to come and watch from his back door. In the process of moving the logs, I leveled out and graded some drainage for him, pushed the logs out of that drainage, and sifted some old loader mounds for the nice top soil that was piled up in it by dragging it back up the hill with the box blade. Total tractor time, about 3 hours. And, $50 in my pocket for more fuel. Silly me didn't do before/after photos. Looks a lot better back there.

I got some of this to do, too. Need to move the run-off from the roof away from the house. And like me, looks like your soil is about as gooey and gummy as mine. I have two kinds of soil. Clay, and ROCK. Even the trace amounts of what I'd call top soil in this yard have the consistency of chewing gum when it's wet, and brick when it's dry. And slicker than greased monkey snot when it's really wet. Can't wait to get my BH77 in January. I was considering a flushable sump and a lift pump to capture the rain water into a couple big tanks to irrigate my yard with in summer. Now that I have a way to move heavy things, dig long trenches, haul gravel ........

I'm getting ready for my new Wicked grapple. Hope to get it in the next week or so. Added protection to the grill guard turned out better than I hoped for. The paint job looks better than the welding. Shaking hands don't hinder painting as much as it does welding. That guard looks remarkably like the one on the LX2610. But I don't see the latch on the RH side (LH in the picture) like mine has. This looks like something that's a really smart idea for moving around in brush. Most of that grill is plastic, and probably a bit pricey to replace. Where did you find the punch grid?

I hope you have the ROPS lights on it, though. Gonna be a bit dark looking through that with the stock headlights.

Don't know about the wicked grapple, but that is one wicked brush guard/grill.

With the dry summer and fall this year, and little snow yet, the back 80 acres open up a lot more. At he very back, there's about 15 acres of a thick tamarack stand that's over 25 years old so want to make a winter trail into there and start using our own tamarack for firewood instead of buying it.
Got to within about 400-500 feet of the "edge" of the stand where I want to start cutting. Steady as she goes!

You will like the Wicked grapple. It is amazing how much you can do with it.

Removed front snowblower and installed front loader. Clearing up some snow with bucket. Tractor quit. Have to check tomorrow. Maybe treadle pedal switch.

I have ground about 100 stumps now. The unit is good. It has some draw-backs for sure, but what it does, it does well.

Installed the mulching kit on my Z121S today. Then gave it a test run. Much nicer then having to chase the leaves to chop them.

Instructions said to remove the deck. But you don't have to if you have a lift. I was able to drop the deck all the way to the lowest position, then raise the front with the lift.

For the first time doing one, it wasn't too bad. Took me about 1 hour start to finish.

I have done NOTHING to either Kubota in weeks. Sitting in the shop enjoying the heat. and collecting dust.

Dragged the concrete pad with the box blade to prep for building the ice rink.

In the last couple of days I installed the shoes I received from EA for my back blade. I also installed the 3" spacers from Bro_Tek (very nice).
Then I couldn't resist doing a little finish grading on my driveway. Its been raining the last couple of days so the driveway is probably thawed for the last time for quite some time.

Got the Kubota ready for wednesday's delivery of a foot or more of white s**t. Looks like we are in the storm's crosshairs. I suppose we'll be making up for the lack of snow last year.
