Width Difference - AG vs R4 Tires ?

I couldn't tell from the brochure how much difference there would be from the AG to the R4 tires. (I probably can't read it !)

Dumbest thing you've done in a shop

Here's another bonehead move - I washed the interior of an engine compartment and engine with a hose and degreaser and had left the dipstick / plug out of the FWD transmission unit !!

Width Difference - AG vs R4 Tires ?

Does anyone know how much difference there would be in overall width of the tractor if you had the R4 Industrial tires vs the standard AG tires ? (This would be for an L series - L3400 / L3800).

    Overhanging Branches & the ROPS

I have debated putting this thread on the OTT forum - and I'm sure that anyone who has been operating a tractor for a period of time will already know this - but I'm sure there's still some "newbies" out there - that can benefit from this story - it was passed on to me by another Kubota owner...

    Advice on New Tractor

Twinnine - I will be sure to post lots of pictures of mine - once I get it. Not sure when - I would guess in the April timeframe - hopefully not too much later. I actually think the L2800 (now the L3400) would suit my needs - but my wife - as well as other tractor owners - have told me to pick...

    Advice on New Tractor

I'm not the expert - but I'll throw my advice at you anyway. I'm sure some of the others on this forum can shed more light on all this. The B series is a smaller tractor - though some of the larger B tractors come close to the ones in the lower end of the L series. I don't know a lot about...

Back Blades - LandPride vs KingKutter ?

The specs indicate that the blades and cutting edge are the same - but the most obvious differences are the way the upright portion - that connects to the top link of the 3PT - is constructed. Still wondering if anyone has had any issues with this particular piece in KK vs LP ... The prices...

L2800HST - What do you think?

Fiddlindave - thanks for the advice. I've researched the heck out of this issue and decided to go with more tractor - more HP and get the L3800. I can get a brand new one - out the door - for about $19,300 (with FEL). That's what I will do - soon!:D:D

Headlights on L series (new vs old)

Thanks Wildfire. My dealer didn't mention that - but you know - headlights are a major item of discussion. I guess I was getting too detailed on my analysis. But thanks for the clarification.

    30 hp VS 46 Hp

For what's its worth - I just got a price on a new L3800 with Quick Detach FEL - new - out the door for $19,100. That's about 38 HP and more than the L2800. Just FYI

Headlights on L series (new vs old)

Just an update - talked to the dealer last weekend and the "advertisement" that the new L series has "two headlights" is almost false advertising. Both the old and new models have two bulbs - one on each side. I'm surprised that Kubota would "advertise" this as being something "new". I'll...

Back Blades - LandPride vs KingKutter ?

I'm going to be getting an L3800HST soon and now thinking about what Back (Rear) Blades to get. Looks like my options are either LandPride or KingKutter. I'm looking for a blade that is 84" long - has an off-set capability and can tilt (though the tilt isn't mandatory). By what I can tell -...

    Coolant Type, Dex-Cool OK?

I don't know about Dex-Cool in a Kubota - but GM has had it's share of problems with Dex Cool in their vehicles. It causes leaks in many models with aluminum heads.

    Snow, Upstate N.Y.

Yep - having a tractor in bad weather - like having a new pickup - you get a whole new batch of friends.:D We're getting clobbered here in Michigan too....

    L3130

I agree with Bulldog - everybody I have talked to says the quick detach option is something that they'd never be without. I plan on getting it on my new L3800 for sure.

    B series

I have to add my 2 cents to this also - I have researched these a lot and talked to lots of people who consistently gave me the advice to buy more tractor - rather than less. I started off thinking about an L2800, but slowly realized that the L3800 will provide me with more HP and like others...
