    Tractor with Implement Weight

You could do what I do occasionally - is back a trailer or pickup up against a bank or higher piece of ground and just drive the tractor onto the trailer or pickup. If you can't find ramps - you might try this...............

    Jerky 3PH

I know there has been a TON of threads on this and I posed this question to Service Dept Vic - but apparently he must be on vacation or not near his computer. So here goes.... I have a new L3800 Hydro with FEL. It has about 20 hrs on it. The 3 pt hitch jerks in the upward motion. I've talked...

J Bar brush hogs and box scrapers?

My vote is for the King Kutter brand. I did a lot of research before I purchased my Box Blade and the 66" Professional series box blade is built very very well. I would purchase another KK implement in a heart-beat.

Problem with using 4wd all the time?

Thanks Eric. Ouch ! Yep - food for thought. I'll be using it now in 2WD unless I have to. Thanks to all of you!! TK.

Problem with using 4wd all the time?

Thanks for your advice. All of my work has been on soft sand or grassy areas - so I don't think that tire wear will be an issue - but I wasn't sure if the 4WD mechanism would suffer if it was used all the time.

    New L 3800

I finally got the tractor and have had for about 30 days now. What a workhorse !!! This tractor must think its really a DOZER - the way it climbs up banks and hills even with a loaded bucket. I'm really glad I got the added HP from the L3800 versus the L3400. The Hydro works absolutely...

Problem with using 4wd all the time?

I have an L3800 HST with about 25 hrs on it - mainly from FEL work. I just leave it in 4WD and use it all the time in this mode. Does it hurt anything to leave the unit in 4WD - when using it in either Low or Medium range on grass and sand ?

SDV - I hope you don't mind this private message - but I have a question specifically for you - since you work on these Orange machines all the time. I have a new L3800 Hydro with FEL. It has about 20 hrs on it. The 3 pt hitch jerks in the upward motion. I've talked to my dealer and he says...

The RIM Guard is needed if you plan on doing any Front End Loader work. The other alternative would be to put a large implement - like a bod blade - on the rear of the tractor to act as as counter balance. The Rim Guard product is used as Ballast in the rear tires. It is biodegradable and...

    Snow Removal Loader Damage

I've also seen where you set the FEL up off the ground about 1-2 inches to get the bulk of the snow - then go back over it with a back blade to scrape it clean. You're going over the same area twice - but also saving the bucket leading edge. This method is good for when the snow is deep.

    Avoid "CJ-4" Oil in New L3800 ???

Wxman - thanks for the reply. I'd still like to know why the CJ-4 Oil shouldn't be used in the new L3200 & L3800 models . I see the CJ-4 oil around - a lot - and wondering what everyone else uses...

    Pricing L3200

Searay - I would STRONGLY recommend the quick attach/detach bucket assembly on your loader. I haven't heard of anyone that has it - that says that they wished they didn't !! Money well spent for greater flexibility down the road.

    Avoid "CJ-4" Oil in New L3800 ???

I just got a new L3800 and was looking thru the Owners Manual. Under the Maintenance section it states that the L3200/L3800 tractors (without EGR) should not use oil that has a API classification of "CJ-4". They say that the CJ-4 oil "is intended for DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) engines and...

    Diesel in engine oil

Dear Eddie - I can't speak about your diesel in the oil problem - but I do agree that these guys on the OTT are The Best. I've learned a ton about Kubotas and tractors in general since I started visiting OTT on a regular basis. My hat is off to everyone who contributes to this treasure of...

    Tire Gauge with RimGuard ?

Gktilton - Duhhh - not sure why I didn't think of that ! Yes - very good idea to put the stem at High Noon - shoot in some air and then check it. Sound advice. I should always have compressed air available - so that will work. I appreciate the tip. Many thanks.

    Tire Gauge with RimGuard ?

Ok - here's a stupid question - What kind of tire gauge do you guys use if you have RimGuard in your tires ? I know you check the pressure when the stem is near the 12 o'clock position - but does the RimGuard solution get into the gauge? Any special type of gauge to use (or not to use) ?
