    custom rad overflow tank

LRP - Nice welding job on the overflow tank. Hey - stupid question - did the "horn" come with your Kubota ??? I guess there might be times you'd want to get someone's attention with a horn on a tractor. The newer ones don't come with them - do they ??? I wonder how you'd hook one up...

    Where to buy tires

Not sure if you priced them at different locations. I've found that prices vary from one location to another - for some of their things.

    Where to buy tires

I would try at one of your local Tractor Supply stores there in New Jersey. I pulled off these locations from their website. (http://tractorsupply.com) Good Luck. RINGOES #1144 144 US HWY 202 RINGOES NJ 08551 (908) 284-2021 WASHINGTON #792 398 S ROUTE 57 W 4 WASHINGTON NJ 07882 (908)...

    New L3240

Babyfat: Thanks for the prices. I will jot that down in my "wish book". Hook: Sounds like something that I'm gonna do. We have a bunch of Maples that like to come down when the wind really gets blowing. It will be nice to just hook onto those bad devils and pull them out where you can work...

    New Owner in MD

Hi KevinC - In the Spring I will be getting a new L3800HST and now have "the bug" more than ever. Yes - post some pictures - I'd love to hear what your new toy can do.

Just a silly question about ballast boxes

ROB - how much weight do you figure is in the 2 half barrels combined ? This looks like something that I could do too - once I get my tractor. Surely cheaper than buying a ballast box from the dealer. Good idea about having the lift rod off-center and using the chain to pull it back.

    New guy with Orange Fever!

Ooops - somehow I didn't know about the "orange zone". Thanks. (I wonder how much I have left on my credit card...?:D)

    Rear Remotes ??

Thanks for the advice. Is something that could be added on later - if the dealer were to come out to my site and do it ??? (versus trailering it back into town for installation) What kind of cost are we talking (ball park)?

    New guy with Orange Fever!

Your "yard" looks like a darn golf course !! You got the Orange Fever bad - almost as bad as me. Where did you get the Kubota license plate ?

    Rear Remotes ??

Thanks. I understand more now. Does anyone know how many rear remotes would come with the new L3800 ? (The website specs don't show that.)

    Rear Remotes ??

L4740 - thanks. Why would you want or need additional remotes ? Or doesn't the rear of a "stock tractor" come with them ?

    Rear Remotes ??

I'm new to Kubotas - but this site is educating me - thanks. I have a stupid question: What are "rear remotes" ? And what are they used for?

    Loading Tires with ??

Thanks Milo for the pics. I bet you saved a bundle by making your own "ballast box" instead of buying one. It pays to improvise !! Good job.

    Loading Tires with ??

Milo - Do you have any pictures of the 55 gal drum filled with sand - for rear ballast? How did you "attach it" to the 3pt hitch? I plan to get my L3800 in the Spring and already my mind is racing on how to do all this stuff. If it's easier, you can send me a private email. Thanks, Tom...

    Loading Tires with ??

I didn't know that RimGuard was actually Beet Juice. I've been told that if you have to dismantle the tire/rim once it's loaded with beet juice - that it makes it quite messy. This came from someone who has worked on Kubotas for years in a Michigan dealer. The question is - if you have 4WD...

    Loading Tires with ??

What is the best thing to use for loading the rear tires on a L series tractor ? I've heard that windshield washer fluid is best because it's not corrosive. What is the standard loading material - calcium chloride ?? How long does it take to eat the rims ? What about "beet juice" - that...

    Diifference between L2800/L3400 and L3700SU

I just recently learned from a dealer that the L3700 is basically a hybrid between the older L2800/L3400 and the new L3300/L3800. The L3700 has all the old style sheet metal, gauges, etc, but has the engine that's in the new L3800. The dealer said that they came up with this "limited edition"...

L2800HST - What do you think?

Thanks Hook. Yeah - I think I need more tractor than a L2800. The added horses will someday come in handy - since I don't plan on buying one of these things again - anytime soon.
