Need some information and advice. Want to load my BX 2230 with 60 inch belly mower and FEL onto a trailer. Anyone know the weight of the tractor with the implements. Also, suggestions of where to shop for appropriate ramps.

Thanks for the help.

With the weight Jpz said your probably looking around 2500 pounds in weight. What kind of trailer are you loading it on?

16 foot utility trailer. Dual 3500# axles. Has electric brakes on one axle but I haven't had time to install controller yet - it's sitting on the workbench in the garage waiting on me.

I don't plan on trailering it often but recently moved about 18 miles down the road and need to get it here. Just need to find appropriate ramps that can accommodate the weight to get her loaded.

So if I'm looking at 2500 or so pounds - any suggestions of ramps - length, type, where to get????

Thanks again.

Where to find heavy duty equipment ramps I honestly have no idea. Maybe check with a local trailer dealer and see if they can get you a set or if theres a faberication/welding shop in your area see if they can make you a set. Or if you happen to have a welder and some steel make your own set of ramps.

You could do what I do occasionally - is back a trailer or pickup up against a bank or higher piece of ground and just drive the tractor onto the trailer or pickup. If you can't find ramps - you might try this...............

You're going to run into several problems trying to load your tractor on a standard trailer without a dove tail. 4' ramps will be so steep that even though the tractor will climb them the mower deck is most likely going to hang. If you have ramps built get them to make the side runners out of 3" channel.
