    ZD21 Hydro Rebuild

Yeah I was going to put the wheel back on and wheel it out and wash it up, but it doesn't exactly like to free wheel. Is there a hydro release somewhere so it can move freely? Edit: I just got off the phone with a service tech, there is NOT a "neutral" position. if you need to tow it for any...

    ZD21 Hydro Rebuild

So my new to me mower needs a bit of work. The left side hydro is acting up, don't go into reverse, and sometimes doesn't go forward. I knew that when I bought it, the guy advertised it as engine only, but I took the whole thing. This issue is caused by the hydro sucking air, which is most...

    replacement seat.

I have this one: https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/universal-tractor-seat-with-adjustable-suspension-black?cm_vc=-10005 It's real nice. Comes in blue and yellow, too. It sits higher though, so make sure you have head/cab clearance.

    ZD21F Hydrostatic drive replacement

Parts are available. I'm rebuilding my left side drive motor now. Chances are it's the swash plate. Crack it open and see, the part is $80 vs $1200 for the whole motor. Consider the $200 resivour upgrade as well. Adds a tank so it doesn't suck air when you're mowing on a hill.

    Leaking part....

Pretty sure that's the speed control plate. Gasket is P/N 15841-57210.

    How often i check fluids - - don't lie!

Once when I buy it, then usually once a quarter, unless I see a puddle of something on the ground or a strange sound from the engine or trans. I'll admit I'm not the best at it.

    Brought home a 2001 ZD21 today

I was hunting for a diesel motor for a generator project, when I came across a craigslist add for a 21hp kubota 3cyl motor with less than 1000 hours for $500. Accessories included an entire zero turn mower and spare set of turf tires. Turns out the left hydro lost reverse due to the common...

FINALLY!! New B2650 but is this abnormal?

Especially if it's only one side, the cylinder is probably bad. Did you try putting yourself in the air, then leaving it for a few hours to see if it drifts down?

FINALLY!! New B2650 but is this abnormal?

Sounds like the cylinder is bad, oil seeping past the seal. I parked my 1953 backhoe in the fall with the stabilizers up, and they're exactly where I left them 7 months ago. There's no excuse for that. Hopefully they make good on it.

My kubota B8200 from the day I bought it until now

I never got around to wiring the electrical for the chute control, and didn't get the heater plumbed. Spring came to fast, and the power steering set me back quite some time. Hopefully picking up hte plow blade this weekend, then I can get started on the hydraulic lift for the plow/blower.

My kubota B8200 from the day I bought it until now

Finally have I got everything in order. It's been a long work in progress for sure. Last year my craftsman LT2000 gave out. i mow about 2 acres and it is a chore sometimes with that thing. So I was shopping for a zero turn when I came across the b8200 with no attachments for $2000. Scooped it...

    Broke mower belt

Amazingly, I got the right belt. It was $30 with shipping and is kevlar. It's wider than the original, but still fit in the pulley's nicely. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJ2JMVGw9KQ

    New tiller too big?

I used the linkage off my 35hp tractor, because the pins for cat2 won't fit in cat1 holes. I wanted to use my blade behind my tractor in the snow with the blower on the front.

    Broke mower belt

That's what I usually do, but over the years hte places have been less responsive to the "let me in the back to root through your stuff because i know it better than you" approach. If my measurement is off, that's on me. Finding a belt locally in inch increments is tough, hopefully this place...

    New tiller too big?

Be aware it's probably a cat2 implement, while you have a cat1 hitch. I put a 3pt cat2 blade on the back of my b8200, and it lifted just fine, exactly 1" off the ground. I also have cat2 arms but my tractor is cat1. So that may be something to take into consideration.
