    New tiller too big?

I've been looking for a tiller as well but they're all $2000+. I'd jump on that for $600 without hesitation and find a way to make it work. If it bogs remove hte outer spline set from each side and just till a little less.

    Aftermarket replacement for hydraulic cylinder

I buy my cylinders at surplus center. Labor can be intensive on rebuilds, even with the right tool. The problem is, if you are using on your loader, you may need 2 cylinders, one for each side. Matching mounting distance to be identical with your cylinder may prove to be a challenge...

    Broke mower belt

The original belt was in good shape and pretty much unused, so I don't think it stretched much. It's length when I measured was exactly 110", no fractions at all. I think it just died due to age, or poor chinese quality, since it is a chinese deck. The only thing in english says "Benye Rotary...

    Broke mower belt

I would love to get it local, but that seems to be not happening. Every moron I call says "what's your model number". No one knows how to look at a belt length. When I say it's x brand they say "oh sorry we only carry deere parts, goodbye" or cub cadet parts or what ever. They're idiot clerks...

    Broke mower belt

The belt was like new. It'd just been put on a while ago and sat there with tension on it and dry rotted pretty well. I was hoping the bends would smooth out and it would go around easier, but even with a higher tension spring it still bounced a bit. It came off once today and I noticed chunks...

    Broke mower belt

I fixed that. The spring was wrong so there wasn't enough tension on it. The belt had been on there without moving for what was probably a few years, and was dry-rotted and had those bends ingrained into it. There were also bits missing that had fallen off.

    Broke mower belt

The belt on my 3pt finish mower broke today. It's not a kubota mower. I laid out the belt on the ground and measured it and got 110". That should be 110" OD, right? Also 110" belts are expensive, except this one site I found. $7 for regular, $18 for kevlar. Amazon has them for $50 for regular...

thinking of buying a 3 point snow thrower

With a blower on the front you don't NEED a loader to move snow. As long as you're not on gravel, I'd go front mount. The thought of backing up everywhere turned around just makes my back hurt. My father has his b7200 with loader and he struggles with it after the second or third snow, then I...

    Seat time on the bx

Sounds like a good time! Any seat time is a good time In my book though. My last big mowing tractor was a cub lo-boy 154 with 60" woods deck, and I got rid of it because mowing under tree's was a real pain, even with them trimmed up. That's why when I got my b8200, I abandoned the belly mower...

3pt finish mower ready for action

I just finished adding power steering to the tractor. I used a JD318 power steering block, and the steering shaft doesn't fit my wheel, so I have to cut it off and weld my old splined shaft onto it. Steering is effortless though, half a turn takes the wheel to lock in either direction.

3pt finish mower ready for action

Just finished tonight. All chains and links adjusted, all spindles and links greased, oil in the gear box overfilled to get the crud at the bottom out. Made a couple passes and the cut is great. It feels a bit big/heavy for the tractor but it does the job. Power steering makes it a breeze, half...

B8200 Power Steering, making my own.

I took it out for the only snow we had worth blowing. That's when the steering shaft broke, and i had to put it back in the garage. I had planned to cut the steering shaft and weld it off the tractor, but the hoses became a challenge and once it was together I couldn't bring myself to take it...

B8200 Power Steering, making my own.

All together! Everything is working great. Still have vice grips for a steering wheel. On to the next project, my mower. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWvqMf5oFhY

B8200 Power Steering, making my own.

It only seems to do it when turning right, left it doesn't. However I only had a splash of fuel in there to test, with the tank not secured and just sitting there, so it was also running out of fuel I think.

B8200 Power Steering, making my own.

Sorry about the delay. Got caught up in some other projects. Had some time with it yesterday. The remote start came in handy not having to fiddle with the key. I may only use the key for emergencies, the remote is just easier. There's a couple leaks, but it works. However, two of my houses are...

B8200 Power Steering, making my own.

If the 3pt isn't in use isn't that just an open circuit though? Sorry, it's hard for me to picture a hydraulic system that works in parallel instead of in series. where would it be encountering a pressure relief valve?

B8200 Power Steering, making my own.

Thanks for hte feedback. I'm not sure I understand hte difference between tank port and IN of the block. Aren't they both returning to the tank? The hydraulic center suggested removing hte banjo adapter and going strait thread into the block for the hydraulics so no banjo was required. He...

    wireless control amber warning lights

I did this for my tractor. I also added remote start. You can get the keyfob/remote relay off ebay for about $8 with free shipping. I also made mine remote start as well. My white fob activates all electronics, basically turning the ignition key to "ON". My black fob button 1 primes hte glow...

B8200 Power Steering, making my own.

I'm not 100% sure on the plumbing either, but I've had a hard time getting feedback on that. On diagrams I've seen, out returns to tank, AUX goes on to additional hydraulics(FEL, etc), then back to the tank. So both are eventually going back to the tank. When not steering, full flow goes strait...
