B8200 Power Steering, making my own.

Had the hoses made today. Only thing they didn't have was an adapter from the hydraulic block on the kubota to the 37* JIC, so I'm waiting for that to come in. Nothing's tightened down yet as I'm still testing fitment. Parts were 3x12" ½" hoses, 1x18" ½" hose, 1x26" ½" hose, 1 ½" T, 2 elbows on...

B8200 Power Steering, making my own.

I nuked my steering box. $500+ for a new one, and then what, muscle steering any time I have the blower on it waiting for it to break again. I decided to go power. Using a power steering valve from a JD 318 and a 14" cylinder with 8" throw, I got the old steering box out and this one lined up...

Recommend me a new grease gun

My old gun always worked, but it was a 3 handed job. One to hold the barrel, one to hold the zerk, one to pump the grease. It go to the point where I'd go longer than I should without greasing things because it was a hassle. A few weeks ago I bought this one...

The little 1860 pushing through 16" of snow VIDEO

Same in eastern PA. I'm jealous of all your snow, we had a dusting 2 months ago, and 3" of slush last week, but that's been the extent of it. I just keep tinkering with the machine making enhancements until it really does snow.

    B8200 Power Steering

Since nothing is available I'm making my own. I need two pieces of information, though. The power steering port size and type on the hydraulic block, and the throw to turn the wheels lock to lock. Everything else is coming together nicely. I know I could measure, but I'm not to confident in my...

When it snows, it pours... b8200 steering help!

I didn't put it back together right, the screw part slid right into the block. For the price of the rod I can get a whole new assembly for a hundred more, so I may do that.

When it snows, it pours... b8200 steering help!

Thanks for the link and info. The one on ebay, though, it doesn't include the bearing, so you'd have to take it apart to put the bearing on? I managed to weld mine back together. Not sure how long it will hold but it's only taking vertical stress so hopefully it will work. I debated welding...

When it snows, it pours... b8200 steering help!

Steering went limp tonight. Took it all apart and found hte issue. Problem is, the diagram on the kubota site is not what my steering looks like! Can anyone help? i need replacement parts. This piece goes into the steering shaft which turns and moves the square block up and down. I think it's...

    Snowblower brands worth buying?

Personally I'd go front mount. They're out there, and unless you're only blowing 50', much easier to use. Blowing a 350' driveway while turned around looking behind you sounds like a real pain.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Re: What did you do on the Kubota today? I notched my mid PTO shaft to accept quick connect shafts. Fired it up and tested everything for normal opperation. Supposed to get our first real snow of the winter on thrusday, the same day I have to fly out for vegas.

    Cab progress

There's a piece that hooks onto the 3pt arm that used to pull a steel rod from back to front. I converted it to a cable for a garage door. I don't like that either. I'm browsing ebay for hydraulic cylinders, spool valves, and hoses. Right now it looks like I can get everything for under $200...

    B8200 Brakes

Brake pedal doesn't move at all, the assembly is frozen. Tried to split it, no luck. 6 bolts on the brake pedal side off and can't even get the assembly apart. An hour with pry bars. It seems like it's still engaged, but at the same time not, because there's no drag. I have it split about a...
