New(ish) Kubota M62 With Filthy Hydraulic Oil

When you say pretty new, are you the first owner? Do you use third function equipment? Rear remotes? Is this the first change you did? When you changed the fluid had the tractor been sitting, meaning when removing the drain plugs was there any free water? I'd suggest fresh fluid and multiple...

    2680 runs hot

If airflow and coolant circuit are good, make sure the brakes aren't applied and the three point feed back adjustment is correct if not the relief valve is bypassing and can cause excessive heat build up and rob horse power.

    Making post plumb--Helping neighbor

I'd first try using the bucket and a chain, lock the tractor down and curl the bucket in the direction needed. Repouring is the best but with break out and electrical, bend it back and move on. You'll own that gate from now on!

    PTO Generator with B2650?

I not endorsing anybody or anything but just to give you something to think about, what's out there. Again remember no mater what you get you still have to put it some where, and if you're like me the PTO generator will become buried until needed LOL. M & L Engines|ML14IERD (mlengine.com)

    PTO Generator with B2650?

I prefer a properly sized stand along generator, as other have said the tractor may be needed for other tasks, to acheive 540 RPM's you'll be running your tractor between 2400/2800 RPM's, a good 4 pole generator runs at 1800 with the correct gonernor control, as opposed to adjusting your...

Re-boring and tapping bolt holes for mid PTO assembly?

In certain applications and space permitting, I perfer to convert to a correctly sized stud so it bottoms out in the blind threaded hole (which makes use of all the threads) then a sholder area the thickness of the cover and a fine thread for the lock washer and nut, it makes gasket installation...

    Need a seat upgrade

I agree pending the amount of seat time additional funds are well worth it. But if you spend big bucks don't jump in the seat with a screw driver in your back pocket ask me how I know.

    Op worklight

The correct wiring diagram should show what's available. Ensure that it's fuse protected. Do you want it hot or on a switched circuit? If hot be careful 72 watts isn't much execpt if left on and not noticed. I prefer switched, if I'm working after dark it's probaly because of a weather event...

    Refueling MX-5400

Pending the amount of yearly fuel usage will dicate how to go about adding fuel, meaning the more you use the more cost effective the delivery system. Consider one or more 55 gallon drums and 12 volt fuel drum mount transfer pump with nozzle. Install a polarized connector on your tractor and...

    Rotary Mower Damage

In the first post I question using the word "friend'. He has more nerve than a bum tooth, bringing the mower back in that condition, not repairing it or at least paying for the repairs. "No good turn goes unpunished"

Switching from Pioneer to Flat Face

If you convert ensure to get the correct match and size as your neighbor's. I'm a little picky but I'd question the type of fluid he uses and how many other friends uses his grapple. "Neither a borrower nor a lender be"

    Drain Project

You didn't mention the length and width of your drive, if it's that bad between the age, ponding and heaved. you may want to consider repouring the entire drive and correct all deficiencies (including tree removal), pending available funds do it it two or three sections starting foom the...

    Drain Project

Pending the size saw and blade, it's only necessary to score about 1 1/2 inches, then break out the rest, make sure to dowel into the existing slab, add rebar and appropriate joints, when replacing the removed section. Also pending the size, type and location of the basins ensure they're on...

'New' B6000, 4WD feels like applying brake

Not familar with your model, I'd suggest checking the fluid level and type, make sure it's in two wheel drive, chock the rear wheels, then jack the front axel and turn the wheels to see how much drag it has. If it'free disconnect the driveline to determine if the problem is on the gear box side.

Cleaning out the attic - trip down memory lane

I just collect "good" stuff, my plan is to die and let somebody else deal with it. I would never make as a minimalist. I've found you're always sorry for things you didn't buy, sell or got rid of.
