    B7100 broken propeller shaft

Self taught lessions are the best learned. Slip clutchs and shear pins are alway overlooked, most will grease/check gearboxes, etc. Adjust slip clutchs per manufactures instructions and shear pins should be of the proper material ( be careful on used equipment because some rocket scienist might...

    B7100 broken propeller shaft

Get the correct WSM, throughtly read and understand what's entailed prior to begining. Check availabilty of components needed. Any ideas how the damage occured, was the shaft in use, tiller, rotary mower, etc.? Something caused it to break, once the repairs are complete, ensure that whatever...

FL850 Tiller PTO Shaft Too Long

I'd suggest a good machine shop. They'll ensure that the finished assembly will run true and provide enough movement when rasing and lowering. It appears that there's enough shaft to work with. They'll need to modify both the male/female sections. Bring the tractor and tiller so there's no...

    PTO Problem

I'm sure it was an attention getter! Be happy the shaft didn't come off the gesr box side! We install loops on our cooling tower driver shafts (some times two), basically it's a riser clamp with two threaded rods. I consider either a 6 or 8 inch clamp to allow enough movementwhen...

    Topside (overhead) creeper

Those topside creepers are nice if I had a automotive shop I'd have one but the few times I need one to do topside work on my pickups,I bought a work platform and it have worked for 9+ years and I can use it for ceiling work, work bench, etc.. Werner 3.8-ft x 1-ft Aluminum Work Platform with...

Zero turn tires for hilly yard

Be careful, if the factory tires are losing the traction with the correct amount of pressure on dry turf, you may be pushing the limits of the mower. if you good to a more aggressive thread it may damage the normally flat areas. Depending the incline wear your seatbelt and have the ROPS locked...

    Zero Turn Mowers

I went from cutting an 11 acre pecan orchard with a gravely 72" with the Kubota diesel, back to the Bulher 7' finishing mower pulled by a Ford 4000, even though slower, I cut an extra foot and get to observe tree conditions and irrgation system. Plus putting out 24 tons of chicken manure and add...

    Water Well Advice

As others have said you need to know the water level with the pump off, submersible pumps should be placed below the water level plus the draw down depth. If the strainer is particial clogged or the water table is dropping then when the pump comes on and can't grab water, it'll pull air. Are you...

MX5100 HST 4 Wheel Drive Linkage

When going from 2WD to 4WD the linkage snaps in fine and performs correctly, however when returning back to 2WD at a stand still and with some movement, it sometimes is very diffcult and needs to be forced more then I believe is necessary. Any thoughts? Thanks

    Starter Issue

Why was the starter replaced? I'd start with checking the battery, battery connections, battery ground to engine, ensure all are clean and tight not just tight. If the battery to engine ground is woven wire I'd suggest using a jumper cable from the battery and ground it at the starter motor.

How to Remove Giant Crankshaft Nut from L3710?

An impact wrench will pop it loose, clean the threads and apply penatrant first. The problem will be properly touquing the nut on reassembly. Another thought would be once you have the correct size socket cut it long enough to cover the nut then take a piiece of 3/8x2" flat bar drill a hole and...

Kubota M6060HFC, 2019, AC compressor sqealing...

When squealing have you tried turing the A/C off to see if it stops? If it does then as other have said it may be the belt which may need to be readjusted (most new belts will have an inital stretch). Check your WSM to see how to adjust.
