I got to use one of these many years when a friend loaned me his so that I could work on a truck I had at the time. I finally got around to buying one last week. I don't know if it'd be useful for the tractors, but it sure will come in handy when I change out all eight glow plugs on the F250 7.3L. I bought the optional parts tray too.

The days of sitting on top of batteries, air cleaners and radiators are finally over! :)

They are so worth it! Especially with all the gadgetry in modern vehicles. You can't put your feet down in the engine bay while sitting on the radiator these days. I often miss my 86 F-350 and it's simplicity.

I've had one saved on Amazon for a couple of years now! I've been putting off the glow plug swap for at least a year due to not having one. They're a game changer for taller vehicles with a big hood. I have a Ranch Hand brush guard on my truck which makes it even harder to reach components. Now I just need some cooler weather.

Not really, but I do appreciate the sentiment. Swapping out factory injectors for single shots that give a big bump in HP would be a fun project. This is just work. I have a hard time starting the truck when it's cold out and if I haven't got the block heater plugged in. I came back from a work-related trip in February after my truck was parked at the airport for a week in typical Montana weather, and it took me 30 minutes to start my truck!

Height is not a problem in my classic Mini, the engine is so low that I have to kneel to work in the engine compartment. The problem is being able to get your hands in there....🤬

I've been drooling over those things for years. How sturdy is it?

That's awesome! My brother had one of the classics and we used to tear around the country lanes on our way to various pubs ... happy days!

I put it together this evening and it feels plenty sturdy. I wouldn't want to be standing on it while being pulled behind a truck doing 30mph, but in the garage working on the Ford it'll be just fine. It's supposed to fold up for storage. It's adjustable for height of course.

Those topside creepers are nice if I had a automotive shop I'd have one
I have an M1078 showing up soon as well as the F250 so I'll put it to good use, but that platform you have sure beats a step ladder.

LOL you do not, :ROFLMAO:I can’t wait for this!!
what are your plans for this thing?!
Yeah, a friend in Hawaii is shipping it to me in a week or so. Shipping is around $3,800 since the thing is 16,000lb and 21ft long! But that's my only expense, other than getting it to Montana from Seattle. I plan on driving it back.

I'm not sure exactly what I'll do with it but I plan to make it legal so that I can title and register it here in MT and then maybe use it to pull the M6060 to/from a friend's place. It's rated for a 12,000lb trailer and 5,000lb of payload.

It's AWD so I'm interested in seeing how it does in the winter up here.
