We are fine here in Northwest Alabama. We do have a lot of flooding with 2 state highways closed near by and in Northeast Mississippi they had tornados. While there seems to be a lot of damage very little loss of life, Thank God.

Sounds like you are making an educated decision. The L4600 is what I really needed but didn't know it when I was looking for a B. Thank goodness that I at least got the L. Maybe some day.......:D

I agree with you 100 percent on that type of operation. All I was trying to convey was that if you have enough acreage, and 10 acres is enough and have the usual needs for a tractor, then there will be plenty of times that you could really use even more power.

Well I needed the higher PTO HP to use a bigger and more rugged bush hog to mow down 2"+ trees, heavy brush and tall grass. Needed the wider footprint for more stabilization on my hills. And needed the better loader lift capability to move the larger loads of dirt, rocks, gravel, heavier...

The big things are: More PTO HP to run bigger attachments; The bigger Hydro to lift more weight; A couple inches wider for more stability; and More weight for better traction, just to mention a few.

My L came with the QA loader so I definitely went with the full pallet forks. Also with the clamp on ones you have to watch out for denting the edge of the bucket.
