Always go bigger than you think you need also. You want to have enough room to get around everything and in case you get a few more implements.
I know I'm ready to build another shop just for extra storage and parking.
Not really expecting to find one, but looking to purchase a snowblower for my BX25D. I have the hydraulic snow blade, so I only need the driveshaft and blower unit. Prefer the BX5455HD, but any of the 3 will work. Thanks
Pole buildings are cheaper out here, to build. They can go up really quickly too, but it all depends on what you want to start with, and what you may want to end up with. Are you going to want to insulate it and do concrete floors down the line?
My local tractor place North40 sells Van Sickle paint. It is an exact match for my Kubota. It comes in Aerosol, quarts and gallons and a good poly hardner is available.
I didn't want to have to rebuild it once it was up. It's nice to walk out and ring Steel ( safely) anytime I want. I can also sight in any hunting handguns at 100 yards for where ever I go
After walking thru the property, I found an area I could build a road and put in 3 shooting boxes, from 50 feet to 100 yards, and I only had to remove 19 trees.
Found a local construction company that is giving away all the 8"x8" PT posts you can haul. They will load you up with a forklift. So...
Here's something to think about. Every brand makes entry level , mid range and fully loaded. It's like Ford, Dodge and Chevy. ALL new saws are nice, but do your homework. Dig in and do a little reading about different models. You can find a flaw in anything, but some models are really bad...
I just did the same for a buddy of mine. I might have suggested painting it with the wood off. It's a lot easier. Then stained the wood separately, once its dry put it back together.
The hard part is getting up the gumption just to do it!
Ever see the movie "Caddy Shack"? The grounds keepers ( Bill Murry) method would work well at irradicating gophers, moles etc, but you may have to redo a little yard work
MILOX had us confused for sure.... but desert was great, thanks again!
Pendoreille had a nice camera and took lots of pics, hopefully he can post some good ones. My lousy camera phone pics are only fair at best. We ended up with 18 total competitors, and just enough prizes for everyone to...
You can definitely cut an edge and dig better with something like a Piranha tooth bar. As for moving gravel, depending on how much and how far, I would think a rock rake, land plane or box blade would work nicely moving some gravel to alter the ground below, than push the gravel back in place
Gonna bump this up in case anyone local hasn't seen the event, one week from today. Doesn't matter if you know anyone or not, this is a great way to meet new friends.
The Piranha is great for removing saplings and small trees too. Lift the bucket a foot or two off the ground, push the teeth into the side of the small tree, and lift( curl) It pulls them right out of the ground.
