    Fathers day, Mothers day present

I'm not a dirt worker, but when I hired out an excavator and crew to build my road and circle driveway in Alaska, they came in with huge rolls of Typar (sp?) matting and after the culverts were placed and set, put the Typar on the ground, over tundra and all then started dumping large...

It's easy to apply, just roll it on and throw the sprinkles in the air. You won't have to worry about oil or grease spills. I did my lift area 48'x24' with two kits, which is 4gallons. $198.00 When we have the OTT BBQ next month you can check it out.

So now the concretes curing, and you can walk on it. Have you thought about doing an Epoxy coat on it in a few weeks? It sure makes a nice finish, doesnt stain and repels oil etc. I used the inexpensive stuff from Home Depot, but it's still a great finish for $99.00 for two gallons

That's nice that they did a clean job on the trim. It does make a big difference when it looks good as well as being a nice build. Your gonna love the extra lean too storage too. You can never have enough storage!

    New to forum, New B2650

Welcome and congrats on the new toy. You may want to take a good look at the implements list and see what you may use. The bundled price at Zero financing is a great deal. What kind of property do you have to maintain? Any gravel roads? Lots of fence posts to install? You mentioned snow...

    Oil Changes and filters

I know I over maintain my BX, but I change the oil and filter every 100 hours. It takes less than 4 quarts, and filters are pretty cheap. Basically once a year, for about the 100 hours I use it. I would rather over do it than run cruddy oil

    Husky

If your not too far from town, or the place that sells chainsaws, go handle them all, see how nose heavy they are, or if you like the size etc. I found the sales guy ( not on commission) was really knowledgeable, and he agreed with my two choices. I went home, and did lots of research, which...

    Husky

I know a lot of the guys that cut for a living use huge Huskys, 32"+ bars and they weigh a ton. I'll never have that much envy, I will stick with a 20 inch " lightweight" saw. Much easier to limb with, and cut all day with. My lower back thanks me.

I just upgraded to the MS-261 C-M Pro. Go try one out at your local saw place. I really liked how light it was. After using it for a few weeks, cutting down 75 trees, bucking 8 cords of wood and limbing tons of trees, I am even happier with the purchase

Well the good news is, new chain saws are Awesome compared to some of the older ones. A smart pro series saw is a joy to use. Bad news is they cost $$. But hey if you don't spend it on yourself, your kids will blow it on worthless ideas once your gone!

    quick hitch

Once you make all your implements fit the quick hitch the same way, usually by altering the top attachment point, you won't have to adjust anything, or even get off the tractor to go from one to the next.
