When my grandfather passed away my wife and I bought the house.
The gravel drive which is 400' the circles the house was 75% grass and dirt from it not being used for years.
I started the process of bringing the road back to life.
My conditions due to the amount of grass and dirt that had formed over gravel base it had to be bone dry to get best results.
I would drag round and round, allow to dry more for a day then blow dirt adn grass out of drive way.
For a year I did this almost monthly as weather permitted and now the gravel is back to the top, no more grass.
So, your road condition will determine which answer is correct.
I like it dry so I can blow it when I'm finished and it flows nicely out the back does not try to clog up.
