Older B5200 with 4520A Backhoe Question

The backhoe that the o/p has looks like the Woods 650 that I had on my b7200. Kubota used them back in the early days prior to having their own. Mine had a 6 gpm pump at 540 rpm. I always ran mine at around 1800 engine speed with the pto on high speed (825 rpm). I found the 540 rpm just gave...

First Engine Oil Change for a Kubota L3301 HST

If you're doing the 50-hour service and want to change the hydro filter (and not the fluid) the ol' shop vac on the fill hole works well. Just did my 50-hour service today. The one hydraulic filter was a bit of a pain and had to use a strap wrench instead of the filter wrench as a pipe was in...

Any innovative ideas for covering light controls?

Anytime that I had my previous B7200 tractor outside I always covered it with a heavy vinyl tarp plus a can over the vertical exhaust. New tractor with cab is left as is.

LX2610SUHSD blowing 5A OPC fuse. Wont turn over.

I would check for damaged wiring that has grounded out to the tractor around these safety switches. If you have the service manual with wiring schematics, you can check where the circuit goes using the fuse number.

    B7200 hydraulic steering parts breakdown

Nothing had to be altered for the installation of the kit. The kit included a slightly different steering pitman arm which might have brought the unit a bit farther from the side of the frame. Also the front axle has end stops that stop the rotation of the axle when driving over uneven ground...

    B7200 hydraulic steering parts breakdown

That power steering was an oem kit that was available as a dealer add on when I purchased my previous B7200hst in 1985. I purchased the kit in 1987 and installed it myself when I built my bh subframe.

YES!!!...Just buy that damn thing....One more good reason to buy a back hoe......

I have had a B/H since 1985 and could not survive without it. I ordered my new tractor last fall with a B/H as well. The picture shows me building my shop in 2014 with the B7200. Used it for all excavation work including septic and field drainage work.

Kubota Tractor B7200HST-D hydraulic oil leaking into the crankcase/oil pan

If I remember correctly the pump on the B7200 that I had, had a male rectangular piece that slipped into a female slot on the end of the injector shaft.

    Vinyl seat repair

I have seen folks at car shows who advertise vinyl repair. Never used them but a Google search might work.

    Mower Gearbox service

Not familiar with your machine but most gear boxes have a small pipe plug in the top for filling and a similar plug in the side. If the side plug is removed and oil starts to come out you have enough oil in it. otherwise fill until it starts to come out. Most gear boxes use 80w90 gear oil...

    Replacement tractor rim 9.5 x 20

A good welder should be able to put it back together. You do not show the rest of the rim but appears to be a clean break all around. An option if a replacement cannot be found.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY. What was your favorite car?

This was my 71 Torino GT that I did a full restoration on. Same as my first one back in the day. Sold it last year and used the cash to purchase my new tractor.

    Weight Box

I just recently purchased a weight box as well and plan on putting gravel in it. I think that sand would leak out a bit over time through cracks. I opted for it to keep the overall length of the tractor down when maneuvering in the woods. I do have other attachments that I could use for...

Hose dust caps that stay on?

My factory male caps come off as well. I am using the cheap plastic blue pipe caps that come on pipe or fittings as a protector. Just happen to have a box of various sizes and types that I never threw away. I even save the plastic caps that come on battery posts. You never know if you will...

    B7200 hydraulic steering parts breakdown

If all attempts to get these parts fail you could try to locate a cylinder repair shop or remove the seals and take to a supplier such as BDI. Unfortunately, these shops are generally located in larger urban areas. Sounds like you might have to contact a few of these places to see if they...

Good / Effective over the counter Weed Killer..?

I use round up for dangerous weeds like poison ivy or those in the hog weed family. Some time ago I got severe burns when I tried to cut the flowers from a wild parsnip plant before spraying it. I was trying to protect the pollinators. I use 24d for broadleaf weeds. I find it works best in the...

One of the worst Kubota parts ever made is no longer a part of my tractor!

I didn't bother getting it either. With the cab and third function I have to get off the tractor anyways. Nothing difficult with pushing a few quick connects together.
