    Float

If you mean floating the FEL then yes push the joystick all the way forward until you hear and feel it click. I never use it for "pushing" or going forward with my FEL only for back dragging. Which I think works pretty well when it's needed. If you are referring to floating the 3pt hitch then...

Frustrated with 3 Pt turnbuckle and my options to replace them

I have a JD 2010 that has so much room I didn't know what to do with it compared to my L3800. I too was frustrated with the tight space to work on the L3800. Before coming here to this forum I had no idea that the different categories were different widths and heights, I thought the only...

bucket vs box blade vs blade

All appropriate responses. Guess my question would be what to do with the dirt? It's been my experience working with my box blade that it's made to move the dirt. As in, it collects in the "box". That's seems like a lot of dirt to move, 10"-2' high x 8' wide x 1000' length, and to move it...

    made that payment today..

    I weren't with 0% on a new one as well, started out looking for a used one. Glad I went with new, only 7 payments left. Although, there's a good chance I'll pay it off a little early. ***128512;

    Easy way to remove implements???

Maybe another options would be to just leave it on if that's the only implement you have to mess with at the moment. ??

    Easy way to remove implements???

I believe you answered your own question. I realized very quickly that a quick hitch is the only way to go on these smaller tractors. There just isn't enough room back there to work comfortably. Get one, set it up properly and enjoy a lot less frustration when it's time to change implements...

Average hours per year on your tractor

Oops mine has 382 hrs in it not 318. So make that 7.64hrs per month average. Put about an hour on her yesterday hauling a few loads of dirt down to my sisters.

Average hours per year on your tractor

318 hrs on mine. Had it 4years 2 months. So 6.36 hrs per month on average. Although, I bet I put the first 200 hrs on it within the first 6 months. Couple different reasons for that. Biggest one was that my ex and I were still together when I bought it, so there's that....2nd, I did all the...

    Grease Cleanup

As much as it's needed, I hate grease. I can't seem to keep from getting it all over me. I've used purple power or simple green to soak the areas then put the power washer to it. First time I did it I didn't remove the loader from the tractor, not the smartest decision, I certainly do now...

Mulching / Gator Blades for RFM

I don't have experience with a rear discharge but they work great on my caronni side discharge. I put them on a JD riding mower I used to have as well. One noticeable difference, other than smaller clippings, is that they are considerably thicker than other blades.

    LA 525 Loader Issue

Nice work!! I have moved lots of dirt with mine, tearing down the old motocross track. It's all hard clay and my kubota sure has made short work of it so far.

    LA 525 Loader Issue

Really glad you got your issue worked out! I just took a look at mine and I didn't see any issues but I'll keep an eye out. When I pulled this thread up today I saw your cat on the seat of your tractor. One year ago on Christmas Day I had to put down my cat that looked identical to yours...

    Gravel options for driveway

My driveway is 200' and I've struggled over the years during the winter months. If it stays frozen then it's not a problem but are winters just aren't that cold anymore. So it just stays wet for months. I redid mine in May. Initially the goal was to peel it all off, or what was left, then put...

    XMAS for the Missus

Kinda late to the thread and my dilemma is a bit different but here goes. This will be the third Christmas with my girl friend. First year we agreed just to go somewhere out of town together. ***128077; Last year I bought her some pretty nice jewelry at a fund raiser for a friend. She bought me...

    Illinois-Deer Hunting Trip

I live about 4.5 hrs south of Macomb. Plenty of deer around my place, I don't hunt them but I'm glad people do. They've become quite over populated throughout the state. I see lots of them dead on the sides of the road. I've been lucky enough to have only hit one with my car. I try to avoid...

LA302 FEL - How To Detach?

Glad you got it figured out. Once I started taking mine off, it's very easy to take it off and put it back on, its off the tractor now more than it's on it. No need to carry around the extra weight on the front end if I know I won't need it. Also makes the tractor a little more comfortable while...

    Idling vs. shutting down

I'll let mine idle, I don't have any scientific reasoning. I've always just assumed that idling was better than restarting often. What's the reasoning for idling at a higher RPM? I use the lowest RPM possible, thinking it is saving a little fuel.
