    L3750 gearing

Our old L3750DT Hydro shuttle has 14.9 x 24 rear & 9.5 x 16 front. R1 ag tires. Rims look original... I would not put the larger wheels/tires on the rear of yours...

    L3750 gearing

You definitely want the right size tires!!!! Front end gears and parts are very expensive! I'll look at our 3750 today and let you know what tires we have.

    L3750 gearing

Dang, that's low hours for a rig that old. Our L3750 has around 3000+ hours. Don't know what size tires though.... Very good, very strong, heavy tractor! Love that smooth running 5 cly!

Buyer's Remorse - Should Have Gone Green

I've read reports where it helped and others where it didn't.

Buyer's Remorse - Should Have Gone Green

Yes it turns. Mine was stuck when tractor was new, but some WD40 got it freed up.

    Something Smelling Hot

Running at close to 3000rpm is enough to make a hot smell on a new machine. In two years I have never had my L3800 that high. Manual says not to operate at full throttle for the first 50 hours. Use enough rpm for the job, extra rpm just burns more fuel and makes that hot smell. :cool...

Upgrade from L3830 Grand to MX5100?

More important are the loader specs. The MX5100 should be much higher. Yes, those numbers look pretty good to me and seem in line.

Buyer's Remorse - Should Have Gone Green

Yep, in 30+ years of tractor use Kubota has always been the most reliable for me...

    Something Smelling Hot

Good call. Or, might just be the exhaust really getting hot for the first time..

Buyer's Remorse - Should Have Gone Green

The basic L 3-pt hitch rises in very small increments. If the leaver is moved slow enough and with enough weight on the 3-pt, the jerkyness on some tractors can be quite dramatic and makes good you-tube video. Some tractors are worse and are a problem, but by far most of the basic Ls' are just...

Upgrade from L3830 Grand to MX5100?

The MX is kind of in the middle, between a Grand L and Basic L. I actually like the more simple features of the MX over the Grand! Looks like the MX has plenty of 3 pt lift and the L3830 has extra ordinary 3 pt lift. You wont be giving up any "ruggedness" going with the MX5100, but gaining...

Buyer's Remorse - Should Have Gone Green

The HST safety switch is a know 'no start' problem. I don't have that problem with my L3800DT. No 'jerky hitch' either... Maybe you need to trade the "POS" in on something else?

    New to PTO

Like T-R I'm just a bit confused with the question. I also have 2 stage clutches, so what I do may not work for everyone...

    New to PTO

Yes, always engage PTO after tractor is running, actually you have to do it this way. I always use the clutch with the engine rpm down low to engage PTO. Makes more sense to me to not slam stuff!

    2006 L3400DT Hydraulic Problem

Hopefully the oil was UDT. Good call on checking the vent problem. Vent is a question mark shaped ruber thing under the seat on the left side.

    2006 L3400DT Hydraulic Problem

Hope ya didn't use some cheap oil? Rubber hose between pump and tank? The only rubber hose I can think of is a rather large hose between filter and pump, up near the brake peddle. Pictures, pictures, pictures! :)

Ballast box for L3800 w/524 fel

Tsafa, ya get it bud! Ballasted right can might a huge difference in how a tractor operates!

Ballast box for L3800 w/524 fel

Like Wolf said, I'll have to disagree with ya. But you are right about shifting the balance point to the rear. You can add enough weight to the 3 pt hitch to literally bring the front tires off the ground. So yes it does take weight of the front end, but at the same time it moves it to the...
