    Front Suitcase Weights on L3800

That makes sense and I Always mow with the loader of to, but I have never had that problem with my L3800? Using a 5 foot Land Pride mower here, or a 6' box blade with a couple hundred lbs added to it. I did build a small front bumper for it, but it only weights about 40 lbs.

That's a pretty good deal. You don't have tier 4. But you do have a Very Good tractor!!! :D

Tier 4 L3800 pricing, how much did it go up?

I figured Kubota would have to change model number with Tier 4. I paid 15k for my L3800DT w/loader 2 years ago.

How much does the Sun influence your heating needs?

It's spelled Jotul. :) Best stove on the market period! We've been heating with wood since 1980 and had a few different stoves. Bought a Jotul 118CB 6 years ago and love it!

Welcome! Go to your Kubota dealer and get SUDT2 hydro oil. Might think about changing it if ya don't know what's in there or how old it is.

    Front Suitcase Weights on L3800

Benhameen, your front end only felt light, because you were used to how it felt with the loader on. Which is too front heavy. I do believe Kubota makes a front weight bracket to be used on tractor with no FEL. The grill guard is part of the FEL package, but I see no reason a person can't...

    Front oil seals 3650 GST4x4

I believe he is talking about where the hub pivots, not the wheel bearing seal? Could be wrong though. If so, this also an easy fix.

Stability / ballast / diy questions

Assuming the weight is needed for loader work, It Needs to be on the 3 pt hitch as 'counter' weight. I see no reason to have extra weight under the chassis. For stability I want weight in the rear tires / rear rims & on the 3 pt.

what weight brand engine oil do you run

I run 15-40 in the L3800, but have run straight 30 in our old L3750 for many years. It's really not that big a deal as long as you have oil designed for diesel engines. I'll likely go with a lighter synthetic next change in the 3800... Hydro oil? Use Kubota SUDT oil! Especially with HST trans!

    Front Suitcase Weights on L3800

Actually the loader adds too much weight to the front and counter weight on the 3 pt hitch is needed! Take the loader off and the tractor will be balanced very well.

    Front Suitcase Weights on L3800

I run my L3800 more with the loader off than on. There is no need for extra weight on the front! I spend more time mowing and logging than doing loader work, so the loader stays off most of the time. And your dealer is wrong. With the loader off you can hang weights on the front lower bar of...
