    Counter weight

I use a box blade with extra weight added. Or a log skidder I made with wheel weights added. My 3800 does best with 800-1000 lbs on the 3 pt. Wheel weights and tire ballast are great for traction and stability, but do not take the place of a counter weight on the 3 pt hitch.

I certainly agree with that, especially about losing more than a gallon or two...

    L3430 gaining camber?

That will do it! If you're not goin to have weight on the 3 pt hitch, then take the loader off. If you need to use the loader put at least 500 lbs on the 3 pt, 800-1000 if any heavy loader work is goin to be done... Yes, the dealer needs to check both sides.

Supporting your local dealer, and saving money

When I needed around $1200 worth of Kubota parts to rebuild the front end of our L3750, I checked around on line then went to the dealer, he gave me a 10% discount, no shipping & no sales tax for farm use, ended up a bit lower overall.

    L3430 gaining camber?

You might have some bearing issues then. Are you using a loader with no counter weight on the 3 pt hitch? That will sure kill a front end!

Local to me is one hour away. Sometimes it's good to get out for a drive and look at new orange tractors. :D I also run my own business and do 85% of it on line...

I buy local whenever possible. Have also found prices are usually better.

    L3800 4WD Operation

I'm with ya man. I had to rebuild the front end on our L3750 because of too much loader work with no counter weight on the 3 pt. The tractor is heavy enough and safe, but it killed the front end. Now, if the loader is on the tractor, there will be counter weight on the 3 pt!

    No drive in high Range

Yep, it's way past time for a service!!! Get Kubota SUDT2 oil and new filter. Might not be the problem though, maybe the lever is messed up and it's in neutral instead of high?

    L3800 4WD Operation

It's debatable, I don't think running in 4wd all the time causes that much more wear, but it does cause some. Worse is running around in 4wd with a loader full and no counter weight on the 3 pt hitch. Now that will kill the front axle components!

    L3430 gaining camber?

If any of the bearings were bad enough to effect camber, you'd be leaking oil. What you have here is a tropical delusion. ;)

    L3800 4WD Operation

Exact opposite here. 2wd 85% of the time and loader always off except when needed... I hate to mow with the loader on! Works Mo better for me... But both mine shift into & out of 4wd very easy...

    L3800 4WD Operation

No HST here! Gear drive... I've never had any trouble going from 2wd to 4wd, or back to 2wd.

    Pulling up hickory trees

I tell ya what, my L3800DT with 600-800 lb on the 3 point hitch and loaded R1 tires will pull 2" Hickory trees out of the ground. No, I have not ever done it, but will give it a shot soon. :D
