    L3200

I don't think it does. That's another good reason to go with a L3800DT, which has a 2 stage clutch.

    Flailing about tractors

The jerky 3 pt hitch is such a minor issue, but gets blown out of proportion on the internet. Yes there were some bad ones, but not many. Mine is barely noticeable. Those package prices are a little higher than here, but not bad. You'll want a mower & box blade. And the trailer is very handy.

That's in the ball park. Ask for absolute best price, then go for it.

    gear grinding

What Eric said. Also wait a few seconds to change gears after you push in the clutch. A little bit of grinding at low rpm is OK, but excessive grinding is Not Good. I rarely ever grind gears with my L3800. Just takes practice.

B26 TLB rear axle broken teeth

After the second break, I would have replace the axle shaft & all bearings associated. Are you using the brakes to turn sharp? That can put extra stress on this area.

We've been splitting fire wood the wrong way for years

My brother N law splits that way and is very efficient at it! Also had a friend who split that way to. Made it on Ripply's Believe it or not for his splitting abilities. He had a huge firewood business. This is where I first saw a Super Split, he wouldn't use a hydro splitter if it was free. :)...

We've been splitting fire wood the wrong way for years

I've had it over 3 years now and love it! Been splitting 15-20 cords a year, mostly oak, but some red elm, hickory & locus. The only way someone else will get this splitter is I'll have to die! :D

It works real good on the gnarly stuff, but slicker than you-know-what on everything else!

    Rotary Cutter?

I have the RCR1860, two years of heavy brush cuttin and mowing so far. The housing is a bit light around the back and sides for larger saplings (over 1.5"). But for light stuff & grass it is fine and a very well built mower. I'm pretty hard on rotary cutters & will get the heavier one next...
