    Rear Wheel Weights

You may also want to look here for wheel weight; http://www.lonestarweights.com/2013site/ When I checked they were about half price (or less) of OEM, even with shipping and very similar.

    Rear Wheel Weights

Wheel weights are very good, but you will still need counter weight on the 3 pt hitch when doing loader work. The front axle is not tough enough to take the full load all the time.

    HST Range Selector

As a kid growing up in the deep south we cut the head off scaled, gutted & deep fired the whole fish. That was good but now we fillet everything. Yes Crappie fillets sure are good!

Used L3800 Price Vs New L3800 Price . . Help me make the Decision!!

I saved 4k when I bought mine used 3 years ago. 15k with 14 hours on the meter. Warranty? Not a concern to me. I'd get the used one, but wouldn't pay more than 17.5k or so.

    L3800 Fuel Efficency question ???

Bulldog, that sounds about like mine. If I remember right I was getting 8-9 hours on 5 gallons. I'll check this spring. This 3800 gear drive doesn't labor at all pulling a 5' cutter & I'm usually at 1800-2000 rpm.

    FEL Size

There is only one FEL for the L3800, but two different buckets. If his will left 2000 lbs he has a larger tractor. Or he doesn't know what he's talkin about. :p

    L3800 Fuel Efficency question ???

Bulldog, mine does much better than 1 gph, but don't remember exactly. Seems like I was remembering hours per gallon? I'll have to check it later in the year when I start mowing. Our older Kubota sips fuel. But it's larger, heavier & gets it done with less RPM.

    front rear weight distribution ?

I don't know what the exact distribution is, but these small tractors have too much weight on the front when a FEL is added. It is very important to have substantial 'counter' weight on the 3 pt hitch when the FEL is on the rig. Rear wheel weights will help with traction and stability, but do...

    L3800 Fuel Efficency question ???

Most reports I've read are around one gallon per hour. Mine does better, but I run at lower rpm than most and have gear drive. 540 pto rpm & hst can be a gas hog!

    L3200

I'm with ya Eric. We got a hell of a lot of dirt work done around here with an old 2wd Case w/loader. Not much flat land here either... I think now days too many use 4wd as a crutch, instead of proper ballast. Best to have the rear wheels doing most of the work all the time. I'd really like a...
