    Easy fuel filter change method

If I read the manual right, you wait until the tank is less than half full and it wont leak much when you change the filter. I just used vise grips on the fuel line...

    L2501/left over L3800

Welcome to the site. Never heard of a L2501. The price of that L3800 is a little high IMO. The dealer should be able to get the price down around 18-19K, but price varies depending on what part of the country... I do really like my gear drive L3800DT!

    L3800 not starting

The tractor should stay running and crank with no weight in the seat (my does at least), but it has to be in neutral and the PTO off. Check the PTO leaver, move it around. That said, you might have a low battery. Try charging it, or jumping with a good battery

    Size Question

I've had a L3800DT for almost 3 years and it has surpassed my expectations. Really good rig for it's size! I have a friend who just bought a used B3200. He wanted a L, but his wife wanted the B because it was closer to the ground. She will use it more than him, so they got the right rig I...

    Size Question

That L3200 will do a fine job for ya. But the L3240 is a nice rig and with 2000 hrs should have a pretty low price. We bought a L3750 with around 2000 hrs on it 15 years ago and it's been a good rig, but is in rough shape now. 400 acres here and I use the L3800 98% of the time.

    L3800HST First service

That's excessive! But the filter & magnet are sure doing the job.

Overheating issue on L series verified

Probably is 'grass/conditions dependent'. The fields I mow, get mowed once a years, late in the summer, early fall. So grass, weeds and brush is tall. I do mow with the FEL off, if that makes a diff and at 1800-2000 rpm?

Overheating issue on L series verified

I mowed a fair bit the last two days, tall stuff with seeds & fluff. No over heating with the L3800. Actually most of the 150 hrs on this rig have been mowing and it has never over heated...

New vs used and the little guy

Back on topic...;) I'm have trouble following the OP's train of thought here? Is the seed drill you want too large for the tractor? Does the drill need to be lifted in the air, or can it roll on it's own wheels? (I know nothing about seed drills). Do they make drills sized for your tractor? I...
