The rain missed us yesterday, Ken but today we had a nice slow soaker pretty much all day. This should get the gardens sprouting with the sunshine predicated for tomorrow!
We really need the moisture here for sure.
My son moved 20 small balsam trees from the farm to his property and started a...
I can relate to how dry things are around here too Ken. I tilled the gardens today and can't remember them ever being this bone dry. My tractor looks gray instead of orange after the couple hours of tilling. They need another pass with the depth set deeper. That will be another dust bath I'm...
What's the problem with armadillos? We don't have them here, but they prolly have something good in the environment scheme of things. If I don't eat it, I don't shoot it. Live and let live if it's not creating any problems. Just my 2 cents.
Being able to reach out to 40 yards with a decent pattern is a must for a good Turkey gun. With its short barrel does this gun have that capability? My Rem 870 magnum with 30" full choke does. I'd be surprised if this RIA could accomplish that. Has anyone tested this that owns one?
Raising poultry is a labor of love and lifestyle. I've raised poultry since 1973 and will continue until I can't anymore. I currently have a flock of 30 chickens. I give the extra eggs to family neighbors and friends. I presently have 14 doz in the fridge that will be shared like always.

Don't know about your area, but here there are companies that buy rocks for landscaping and breaker rocks for shorelines. Few phone calls are free to try and locate someone that wants them. They need access to load them however. Just a thought.
Mine are also set as wide as possible. I have not experienced any problems with them set wide. My dealer only preps the new machines with R1's on the wide rim setting for customer safety and stability. I think you will be glad you did.
Exactly my thoughts when I read the reply's.
I do wear Kubota hats and tees proudly when out and about and especially around all my John Deer neighbors and friends who always display theirs.
The last thing I expected was a bunch of grumpy old men complaining.
We are truly blessed in the USA...
We have about 8 of them hanging around for the last week or so. I feel bad them with the 18" of hard snow cover we have here. I don't know how they can survive this brutal weather with nothing available for them to eat. We are way below normal temps here.
Nope they are not overpriced at all. Everything has gone up in price due to the situation we are in. Is Kubota supposed to be the company with no increase?
Quality is worth every penny.
Buckthorn and Boxelder.
The boxelder is a problem on my west side of the property. It's not shade tolerant and grows sideways taking over huge amounts of property. It was an old horse pasture that was taken over by it. I recently purchased the property, and the boxelder are on my hit list. It...
Good job Ken! Nice to have access to the property in the dead of winter for sure. I have the basic same set up except for loaded R1's. I do have a set of heavy- duty chains for the 8N but haven't tried them for fit yet on the L2501 because they just aren't needed this winter so far.
Hoping they...
