    L 3800 question/troublshoot? Fuel?

PWM, The seat switch can be evil!:) If I looked to the right and shifted weight slightly to look down, my 3800 would quit too. Wiggle your butt around, shifting your weight hard to the four corners... See if you can replicate the issue. If so, its the dadgum seat switch. VERY easy fix: Bend...

    Dutch Tractor Porn!!!

Those steam guys have nads the size of watermelons... The thought of a steam boiler, made almost 100 years ago, under tremendous pressure right in front of your feet! I'd go have a sandwich and never come back! Fun to watch but scary to contemplate standing over...

    Dutch Tractor Porn!!!

Ancient Stuff!!! The first tractors (push-pull) are McLaren! The same people who now build race cars! (And baby strollers!) Clearly, they worked on their cornering ability over the years. Watch the guy twisting like mad on the 200-turn lock-to-lock steering wheel. :)...

The l3200 or b2650 debate is over

For anyone on the fence... My wife is SUPER cautious when it comes to mechanical things. Teaching her to ride a motorcycle took years. But, she'll hop on her Vespa in a heartbeat because there are no gears on a scooter. When I went out to find a tractor, she helped me by combing CraigsList...

    Fueling my L3800 sucks !

Speak8, I feel for you man! I have the spout still floating around in my tank. I spent an hour fishing around with various tools trying to snatch it but, no luck. That tank is a bugger to get out. You either have to pull the instrument bezel and the surround, or take out the motor... not sure...

    Dutch Tractor Porn!!!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkpKLdixfcs Loads of 60's and 70's American iron. (Back when we made a lot and sold it to the world...) Clearly, the love for these "beasts of burden" crosses all borders.

Can you explain this fuel solenoid problem - L3400HST?

Late to the party but... The seat safety switch controls the fuel solenoid doesn't it? That would explain why it will start but then kills right after. I'd bypass that switch before dropping cash on a new solenoid. If that solves the problem, then its the switch. (If that model has one...) On...

No place to say "hello" for a new forum member?

OB, You found it! Congrats on the purchase and welcome!. Start loadin' up your pictures. 'Round here we call it "tractor porn." As you can see, if not distracted by pictures, the discussion generally unravels into food, diesel additives, or other issues. One odd note: Notice the first post on...

Choices L3800 DT or L3901 HST

Think of the ten hours this way: Driving around the lot was completely unloaded. That allowed the rings to seat, all the seals to seat, and all the parts to properly break in due to numerous heating-cooling cycles. That is really the way they ought to come from the factory. But, my 3800 is HST...

    Someone Must Know ???

Arizona: After nearly six inches of rain over the past month, the mosquito explosion is insane. They ran me out of my shop yesterday mid-day. And another hurricane is over Cabo headed this way. Oh, and the termites, a long-time resident of the Southwest, have nearly drowned, so they have popped...

    Fuel Additive

Just wondering... I have some Power Service too. How does it not eat through the bottle it's in? Plastic is pretty impervious. Do we know this "plastic attack" story is real and not a dealer rumor to push his own product? Just wondering. Seems like with as many tractors out there, this would...

    Honda riders

My '03 Wing got called in for the welding... It had 600 mi on it then and while in the shop they called me and said my fork seals were leaking. It would be $400 to replace them. If I didn't I could set up a front fork oscillation and crash. I said "That sounds like a warranty issue at 600 mi."...

    Help L3800 Starter Issue

Update: Dropped a nifty new Interstate 770 Cranking Hour battery into the beast and the issue remains. I have checked the battery cables and they are clean and appear securely attached. It only seems to "CLACK" on the first starts of the morning. Gotta be the Bendix or a relay if there is one...

    Was accident preventable?

Dittos to Wolfman... The only one wheel drive tractors are broken/defective ones as they would not function in service. The differential will allow one wheel to turn while the other is stopped. I have a friend who was not wearing a seat belt while clearing a steep hillside on his property. He...
