    Hour Meter...

Dinna wanna hijack another thread where the subject came up but... The hour meter on my L3800 runs the same speed at idle or PTO speed. One member mentioned the meter runs slower at idle. Anyone notice a difference on their Kubota?

We obviously don't try to have enough "fun" with our tractors.

That's why I bought HST. Never know when you're gonna have to square dance. (I can't dance without a tractor so keep your distance...)

    Float Help

Float works GREAT! Yeah, on the 524 FEL the float activates at the end of the "full down" control lever movement. After a few tries, you can get it into float really quickly. Makes spreading dirt way nicer. Wish I had read my "directions" earlier! THANKS guys! :)

Assault Weapons? To buy those "automatic weapons" you have to have a CLASS III license issued by the Feds! Standard "black" guns are no different than hunting rifles or 22 rifles kids shoot. One trigger pull=one bullet at a time. Wonder if they are gonna come up with a hammer ban as more...

    L3240 in Elgin, TX

TZ, I am in Phoenix and found my 126 hour L3800 in Cottonwood advertised on Craig's List. $19,250 last year with three implements, and a little "hood damage." They don't come along often but there were a few in ABQ at the time I was shopping. Also a scam or two so be careful. Good advice on...

    diff lock newbie question

I did similar work in my last house with my old Ford. My clue the rock was too heavy was the rear tires would lift off the ground! :) Its amazing what you can do with some lining bars and a little body English. At least this time, my wife will be in the tractor and I'll be loading and catching...

    diff lock newbie question

LilFoot, Do you use your FEL to get them on the skid or do you skid them on? I did a bunch of work moving huge rocks with my old and tired Ford F1700 twenty years ago. My L3800 is much bigger and more powerful so it ought to do a better job come time to renovate our back yard. Previous owners...

    Speed knob on steering wheel

My buddy who recommended the L3800 to me insisted I get one from Kubota. Theirs is really nice and not too 'spensive. Has the Kubota logo on it. Of course, that makes it work better! The mount is a lot cleaner too. For some reason, I find the knob really handy when I am dragging my rake in my...

    Box Blade Hitch Receiver

Re: Biox blade Hitch Receiver Excellent job -both of you. I am going to do the same thing to a 3-point mount I bought. I need a "shelf" on my 3-point I can carry my spray rig on. I figured adding a receiver mount to the top of 3-point frame would let me stick in one of those nifty aluminum...

    BOTH front tires flat 3301HST

Dittos above... Underinflated. I bought my L3800 from a nice guy who was not a tractor person. One of the "injuries" my tractor suffered in his care was a tiny puncture in the front left tire. I never noticed it and in a few weeks the tire was down to nearly nothing. I got it out of the barn...

    Plowing/size/HST??

Louky, In the late 80's I worked for Southwest Airlines. Kubota made them a super deal on Kubota tractors with HSTs to use as baggage tugs. What a torture test! These poor tractors would be hitched to a couple full baggage carts and then floored (HST pedal that is, at full throttle) until the...

    Corn grinder

My Troybilt Super Tomahawk II Chipper Shredder does corn at 8hp. Pick the grate you want for the right consistency. The drier the better, I hear. And, when doing corn, you better have on a dust mask. I only use it for trees. This thing is a monster.

Here Are the 46 Senators Who Voted to Turn Your Gun Rights Over to the UN

Oh, and before anyone attacks the NRA, a little history... After the Civil War, the US Congress looked at the war and made some inescapable observations. Situated in the North, they witnessed some of the early losses by the North, many the result of a lack of firearms skills by recruits from...

Here Are the 46 Senators Who Voted to Turn Your Gun Rights Over to the UN

Not surprisingly, Snopes is absolutely wrong on this subject. John Bolton has warned exactly of this issue. The U.N. want to take on the legal arms trade and eventually disarm the entire world. The only ones left with weapons will be the governments. After watching 70 million die at the hands...

    Float Help

Hokie! THANKS! I NEED float! Not much snow to push around down here but tons of gravel to smooth out! I was working today and played with the little "gear shift" selector I mentioned earlier. It seemed to lock out the bucket rotation by locking the control lever in a fixed position. I'll...

    Float Help

Don't have my manual handy but, is the float selector that little "gear selector" on the plastic valve shroud on the LA524? -The one ahead of the rubber boot for the FEL control lever. Don't have much snow in AZ but I sure do drag a lot of gravel. Sure could use that option.

    Newbie 1st tractor.

All the more reason to do it: For Grandpa. The grand kids will have memories just like you do. Shouldn't cost too much, even if you have to have a couple parts fabricated at a machine shop. And the pictures will be for you as much as us.
