How-to: Raising the hydraulic pressure on an L2501 and measuring the REAL results

Thanks for posting that, very helpful. Looks like I need to buy 2 of the .4 shims and grab a torque wrench ;)

    STARTING LX 2610

Mine starts with just a bump of the key, no glow plug use unless it's 32 or less. I would assume there is something not quite right with yours. I would visually check the fuel and filters, and make sure the battery is fully charged. Good luck, hope it's something simple to fix.

    Zero turn Mowers—What’s best?

The title asks "what's best?" I in my opinion the Ferris full suspension ztr line is the best, but you're not gonna find one anywhere near 3K. Also, if you got the best ztr, you would never want to mow with your bx again. Probably not the answer you're looking for, but from my experience...

    Purchase new - B2601 vs LX2610

A quick estimate is to double the model number and that is how many pounds it will lift. So the 435 would lift around 870 lbs and the 535 around 1070 lbs.

Did anyone go from a zero turn to a Kubota BX for mowing?

Wow, that was a great deal, and time well spent with family.

    BH77 seat

Fordtech, you are correct, that is what I meant to say. Thanks for posting the pic.

    BH77 seat

No, it's bolted onto the BH subframe. There were 4 holes in it already and the seat bolted right up to those holes. The BH drops off like normal and there is nothing remaining to interfere with the 3pt use.

Did anyone go from a zero turn to a Kubota BX for mowing?

I'm curious. How long does it take to mow that 25 acres with the tractor. In my experience, I can mow twice as much in the same time with my ztr (54" cut) than I can with a bx (60" mmm), and the ztr cuts better when the grass is high or thick. Cutting my mow time in half on 3 acres was...

    BH77 seat

I have the same set up. I did not have them install the flip around seat, had them leave the comfy original seat as is. I bought a used BH77 seat and mounted it in the holes that are on the existing subframe. Lined up fine, I did not buy any extra subframe extensions. Works great for me. One...

    Any LX2610 or B2650 owners?

Rops 2650 with turfs here. No lurching noted. The whine got noticeably better after changing out the UDT for the SUDT2, but still, HST's are gonna whine. Pandora and some good ear buds and it's not an issue.

Spacers - Front and Rear, or Rear Only?

That's the exact point of why you guys are slitting hairs. Rear spacers add enough real world stability that it's worth the expense and extra wear and tear on equipment. Lot's of bang for your buck. Front spacers do add to stability as the math proves, but to a MUCH lesser degree at normal...

Did anyone go from a zero turn to a Kubota BX for mowing?

If you can have both there is no question which one you would mow with. But if you can only have one, the BX is the obvious choice since a ztr is a one trick pony.

    Tipped B2601. Ooops

First, I'd like to say I'm glad you are OK, and I'm sure the tractor will be fine too. Live and learn, with the emphasis on live. I don't want to open an old can of stale worms and cause a fuss, so a simple yes or no would be great. Sounds like a slow roll over where you had time to both turn...

Spacers - Front and Rear, or Rear Only?

Just for fun, I'd like to point out that the front axle is on a pivot. To assume this plays no role until the pivot stops are hit implies a frictionless pivot. Those don't exist ;)

Spacers - Front and Rear, or Rear Only?

In and undergrad physics class I once had a test question that read " so if heat rises, why is the top of the mountain covered in snow while the valley has no snow? " 3 pages, got an A. Would not get an A today, but still understand ;)

Spacers - Front and Rear, or Rear Only?

Anyone that has ever driven or ridden in a Pontiac Grand Prix knows that "wider is better". TV commercials don't lie.

Spacers - Front and Rear, or Rear Only?

Funny or Fun? You guys remind me of myself and some buddies drinking beverages on the dock arguing about, well nothing, but doing it successfully for hours. At some point we'd switch sides and and try to prove the opposite point. Good times ;)

LX2601 - Float? finer loader adjustments?

I only use float for back dragging/smoothing things out. What specific things are you wanting to use the float function for? I'd like to learn.

Here's why you wear a seat belt with ROPS system

Any HSE officer hired to instruct tractor operators in safe operation that said "to be safe, don't operate the tractor" would be fired. They are certified in instructing/training safe operation of tasks and equipment, not in avoidance of said tasks and equipment. I'm not sure why there is...
