    Let'm die!

I never said the had all the right answers. They have up to date facts that can help you make an informed decision. I hear from various folks that they believe the vaccines cause high numbers of irreversible problems, even death. I've even heard stories of folks trying to stick magnets to the...

    Let'm die!

I really only got 3 pages in before giving up. Soo much ignorance going on hear it's sad. The good thing is ignorance is easily fixed by educating. Pick a reputable medical journal and read the pertinent covid related articles from the past year. Pick up a virology text, study up on...

    Loader Level Indicator

Yep, a high pitched clanking rattle that you hear over the engine noise and the HST noise. Basically an aluminum bar rattling against an aluminum piece of flat stock which resonates thru the steel hollow loader arms. Took all of 2 minutes to remove and discard. If I want my bucket level, I...

    Loader Level Indicator

I took mine off after the first week. It rattles and is loud, more annoying than it's worth for me. It sits in a bucket with the rest of the parts I don't use.

    Turf?

I've got turfs on my 2650, loaded. I've not had any issues with tearing up surface and have not been limited by traction on any job. If it's wet and muddy, I just wait till things dry up a bit, obviously turfs don't do well in the wet mud. There are several videos on Messick's that...

    BX levers watch out.

The chances of catching clothing on a lever increases relative to how hot, tired, and in a hurry you are ;)

    How good is alternate energy?

My payback was 2 years. Of course that includes the initial tax break covering a large portion, and the fact that mine is lake based so no drilling needed. Even cavemen knew the benefits of geothermal temp regulation ;)

    How good is alternate energy?

I haven't read thru the entire cluster so I don't know if it's been mentioned before. My house heat/air conditioning is geothermal based. Works great, saves a ton of money, and since it uses so much less energy is better for the environment in the long run. Makes me feel better as I kick in...

    Add Weight to Box Scraper?

A lot of my soil is hard red clay and no amount of weight would allow me to scrape the top inch or so. I would have to use the tines to get any results. Just set your tines at the least aggressive setting and have at it. Once softened up you can raise the tines and use the box to shape as...

    load tires or not

Several reasons, but the most practical is that it lowers the center of gravity by adding weight below the axles. Also doesn't take up any space if working in tight spaces.

Help another newbie decide between a B2601 vs LX2610

I have turfs on my B2650. It is very lawn friendly, but also has a lot more traction than folks give it credit for. I almost always have the BH on the back which is heavy, and I have the turfs filled, and it doesn't damage the lawn. I wouldn't be so concerned about the added weight, but tire...

Can I use a Box Blade with Turf Tires for my project?

If it's dry the turf tires will not let you down.

Reading the heading of this section...

I feel ya. I spend more time at Advanced Auto buying filters, oil, and parts than I do at the grocery store.

Reading the heading of this section...

I used to be more guilty of that, but as I get older I find myself selling off the collection more that adding to it. Can't seem to find time to play with any of the toys because I'm too busy doing maintenance on said toys. Implements are nice additions though since there is no upkeep to...

    Idling vs shutdown and restart

This, as well as I use SR3 additive which gets rid of stiction as well as minimizes any start up wear and tear. If I hop off the seat for more than one minute, I shut her down. If I have to replace the starter in 20 years, I'm ok with that. The fuel savings, less noise, and less emissions are...

LX2610 Backhoe AND Filled Tires - WSM Says No

FWIW, my dealer filled my turfs without even asking, found out when I picked it up. No charge for it so I didn't mind. They had absolutely no concerns with being filled while using the BH77, said it's a non-issue. I took his word for it and haven't had a problem, and I work the BH pretty hard.

    That uneasy feeling?

Most fancy phones have apps that will measure the tilt angles. It will give an accurate number, but that doesn't mean much unless you know what numbers are safe and which are dangerous for your particular set up. An accurate way to test that is to keep tilting steeper until you tip over, then...
