Removing clumping bamboo with a stump bucket?

Well, the stuff at my dad's place is gonna thrive cause I'm gonna hate all over it with the backhoe once ski season is over. I had planned on digging it out, burning the exposed pit, and filling back in. From reading this, it sounds like I should look into some form of chemical hate as well.

    Ballast box

Ditto. Heavy ballast box would be great if I needed for space concerns, but I've not needed extra space back there so far. I leave the BH on most of the time and since it's back there I find all kinds of uses for it.

    Ford Lightning all Electric Truck

I don't know, I'm pretty stubborn ;) If I'm still alive in 30 years, I certainly don't think I'll be driving, but I'm pretty certain my tractor will still be running (on diesel of course). I believe there is a place for EV's, but with the present options and infrastructure, I don't believe...

    Thinking about pallet forks……

I agree, once the powder coat has an opening, the metal is exposed and can rust. This happens with paint as well. Powder coat is worse since it traps moisture underneath the surrounding areas. I do have an old chair-lift seat that I powder coated and have had hanging from a pole on my dock...

    Thinking about pallet forks……

https://www.everythingattachments.com/Compact-Tractor-Pallet-Forks-p/eta-comp-pf.htm I hope that link works for you. Looks like the price has gone up quite a bit since I bought mine a couple of years ago. Yikes.

    Thinking about pallet forks……

I agree, but seems to be the ole apple vs oranges thing. To be specific, the frame of my forks is painted with a very durable paint. It's been outside for several years and hasn't rusted a bit. Unless the paint goes bad, it's protected and fine to store outside. The forks themselves are...

    Rabid animals

Could have a concussion from a prior encounter with a vehicle. I agree that it does look well taken care of.

    Tractor cleaning?

I've not washed mine yet. Big clods of mud will knock right off once dried. I hand clean around the zerks with a rag before lubing. Are tractors supposed to be clean?? ;)

    Thinking about pallet forks……

Powder coating is even better, and even more $$. I prefer to save the cash and deal with the very light surface oxidation. I don't spray my forks either. Paint would look nice, but you'd have to respray the top of the forks after each use. That just sounds annoying. Glow in the dark paint...

    Thinking about pallet forks……

Another entertaining thread for sure. Another vote for EA forks. US built, great welds, free shipping. Only downside now is the wait. I store them outside on blocks just high enough to make attachment easy. There are other brands that will work too, but I went with EA because I was so...

    B2601 vs L2501

I rechecked numbers. There was a typo. Looking at 3 different sources on the kubotausa site, the first one I found had the 1131 max at pin for the LA525. I kept searching and in 2 other brochures it had the same value listed as 1431, which is in fact more than the LA534 value of 1407 in all 3...

    B2601 vs L2501

Typed in l2501 vs LX 2601 and the Messick's video was interesting. It did compare the LA525 loader with the LA535. It did not show any lift numbers for at the ground, only at carrying height. Personally I never carry anything that high, I usually keep heavy loads as low to the ground as...

    B2601 vs L2501

I got those numbers from the Kubota site. Unless it's a typo, at the pins at whatever height they measured it at, the LX out lifts the L. The L does have a physically larger (longer reach loader) and can lift up to 94.3" vs the 84.6" height of the LX and (and the B2650), but as far as max lift...

    B2601 vs L2501

If your looking specifically at lift capacity... at the pins L2501 max is 1131 lbs with the LA 525 loader B2650 1407 LA 534 LX2601 1324 LA 535 B2601 948 LA435 Point being the LX...

    Do you drive fast?

Depends on if the wife is in the vehicle or not ;) Lots of tickets years ago. I'm still 10-20 over most of the time but around these parts there is very little if any 'speed control presence' during the work rush hours, and most folks are 10-20 over also. At 10 pm I'm much more likely to be...

The reality of selling a late model used Kubota in today's market.

After reading this my impression is: A. you don't need to sell it to keep food on the table, so no hurry to get rid of it for less than you think it's worth. B. it's advertised for sale, so in my world that means you have a perfectly good excuse to keep it and use it until you get your asking...
