My 27 year old Miata runs like a top. My 3 year old string trimmer needs a new battery, cheaper to buy a new trimmer ;(

    cheap canopy

Mine's even cheaper, it's called a hat. Costs very little, does very little. I've been considering a home made canopy, thanks for the inspiration.

    Fuel prices

The number is false. Ketchup in your tank would decrease fuel consumption by 100%, not 55%.

    Fire extinguishers

I watched the Jay Leno video, impressive enough that I bought 2. I figured the one in the mancave can be thrown on the tractor when out and about.

https://elementfire.com/ I hope that link works, I'm not what you'd call techy.

    Fire extinguishers

That's interesting. I ordered from the 'element' site directly. 79.95 each, total was 159.90, no tax, no shipping.

    Fire extinguishers

Wondering if anyone has any experience with the new 'element' fire extinguishers. I just ordered 2, one for the mancave and one to carry on the boat and jeep. Thinking about getting one for the car and another for the house. Not cheap, but no expiration date and no maintenance. Sounds like a...

Looking on the bright side ... marina gas will be so ridiculous, maybe everyone will stay off my lake this summer ;)

    TRAILER SAFETY CHAINS

I think I was 5 when I learned to visually check the hitch ball (and kick it to make sure it doesn't wiggle), make sure the latch catches and put the retainer pin in place, then cross the chains (wrapping if needed to keep from hitting the pavement. Then check the trailer tires and make sure...

I'm just glad my commute to work is only 8 miles. I feel bad for folks that have a long commute. I'll be riding the motorcycle to work a lot this summer I suspect.

Best size bucket BH92 hydraulic thumb

I have the 12" on my BH77. For my hard red clay a bigger bucket would not work as well. With whatever you decide, I'd highly recommend a quick connect attachment set up. I have the BExpanded version so I can swap out between the ripper the the 12" bucket in seconds. It makes having multiple...

    Fuel prices

All I know is that the boss said prices are too high to drag the camper across the state for the weekend. End result ... I get to stay home this weekend and get projects done on the tractor instead  Gotta look on the bright side every once in a while.

    Curling

Another excuse to drink with your friends, like golf and cornhole. Sounds fun but not a lot of curling going on here in TN. We throw metal half rings at metal stakes in the ground with our non-drinking hand.

Bolt on/weld on front bucket grapple

I use my forks for picking up most things (trees, brush, rocks, pretty much anything that doesn't require a bucket). I agree that if I had the hardware plumbed I would certainly make use of a grapple. I just haven't found anything I couldn't easily pick up with forks that would make it worth...

safety gear when taking down trees

I look, clear the evac area, step back and look again, make the front horizontal cut, step back and look, make the front angled cut to remove the wedge, step back and look, then cut the back about half of what I think it will take to drop it. Step back for a final look and double check any...

Bolt on/weld on front bucket grapple

I don't have any experience with one. From the pics on their site, those loads could easily be picked up and carried with a regular bucket or forks. Personally, adding the extra hydraulics would be more of a hassle than just using finesse to pick things up.
