Kubota M9540 -- What's that Strange Metal Box on the Side?

That thing makes my 2650 look like a craftsman lawnmower. I could think of all kinds of stupid things to do with that ;)

Can't remove flat tire on my BX23S

Neither does water, but I bet the military sees value in it's use. But yeah, I was being sarcastic, I agree it's overhyped.

Can't remove flat tire on my BX23S

??? It displaces water as advertised. Does exactly what it was designed for. Does it much better than the first 39 version ;)

    Watch your ROPS

If that were true, wouldn't it be WD-1 ?

What grease are you all using?

Although I do like bacon grease, I too use Lucas x-duty. I bought a pistol grip hand pump gun with the loc-n-lube swivel option and love it. What ever you decide on, the easier it is to use the more you'll use it, which IS the most important aspect.

    I'll trade you for my 54" , it has a scratch or 200 ;)

    Attachments for BX23S backhoe

I have a 12" bucket. I got the Bxpanded root ripper and the quick attach at the same time. I can swap back and forth easily which is nice for digging out stumps where you rip, dig, rip, repeat. So for that purpose the QA saves me a ton of time and effort, well worth the cost. If you only...

Mine came with the BH attached and the rears filled from the dealer. I guess I'll die any day now ;)

Can't remove flat tire on my BX23S

With all the "use an impact wrench" replies, I just want make sure you are aware. They are great for taking things apart. Not so great for putting back together. Putting the lug nuts on with an impact is why you are in this situation to begin with. A good quality torque wrench will save you...

Hard to align front hitch blade to load attachment when very hard to see it.

Maybe my seat safety switch is forgiving, but I can stand up and get a good view. If I creep forward in slow increments it won't shut itself off. Of course if I push the HST pedal more than just enough to creep, it shuts down. If my switch is faulty, I like it that way. If it's not faulty...

Tree work and pulling advice - rope or chain recommendations?

Just to be clear, the synthetic winch line I use is dedicated to my jeep winch. It gets directed thru pulleys, doesn't really even touch the ground. No dirt, no nicks, very strong, very light, won't snap back and kill me or my equipment. I would not use it for dragging, only winching. For...

    Fuel prices

I was gonna say throw it out of a plane. But technically, the fuel you burn driving it up to the top of the cliff or the plane's fuel to get it up in the air would bring the mpg down substantially. Tractor talk brings up some strange topics sometimes :)

    Best FEL attachments

EA makes the best, period. I stayed at a Holiday Inn so I know ;) Seriously though, the welds are A+, the materials used are A+, the designs are spot on with weight were you need it and not were you don't, made in NC, free shipping to most places which can be a huge savings, and I've not heard...

Tree work and pulling advice - rope or chain recommendations?

I use a tow strap attached to the tree, usually 20 or so feet up. This gets connected to the winch on the jeep which has a spectra line. The synthetic spectra doesn't rebound if it breaks so no need to weights or mats on the line for protection. The jeep is usually way off to the side pulling...

Looking for help with purchase – B/LX/L tractor owners with wet/soggy soil

From what I read, you won't be doing a lot of ground engagement work so the added weight of the L is a bit counterproductive for soggy ground. The LX has about the same footprint and hydraulic capacity but weighs less so should do everything you need with less chance of rutting. Of the 3 the...

    Setting up a box grader

Mine touches the ground before the lever is all the way down. Not sure how or why, it just does. If you have multiple mounting points for the lower arms, you may need to change those to get it to go lower. I'm not familiar with the MX line but I'm sure someone here can get specific.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

All I did was mover her from inside the mancave to outside for a few days. Once I get the 2 post lift installed she'll be back in her spot.
