Bobcat box blade? Or Titan or Southern?

My EA box looks almost identical, ever the scarifiers mounted through the cross bar. mcmxi, yours is a big boy box for a 5000lb tractor, so much beefier in that department. The B2650 is under 2000 lbs. I was breaking up a 40 year old gravel driveway with my EA box, it was like concrete. At...

Bobcat box blade? Or Titan or Southern?

It's been a day or two since I looked at my box. The pic looks similar as far as the scarifiers going thru the cross member, but now I'm curious. I'll take a look when I get home. Either way it looks like stout box for a 2650.

Bobcat box blade? Or Titan or Southern?

Pics look like it's a solid build. Looks almost identical to my EA box except for that fancy owner's manual holder cylinder thingy. That should last you a lifetime.

    Tractor Stability

Lots of comments here suggesting rear weight for mowing. That makes no sense to me. If your primary use is mowing, then it will be most efficient with NO added weight. Take off the loader, use rear spacer to improve stance on hills, and don't put anything on the 3pt. I don't recall if you...

    New Warning Stickers Available

I hear Texas is nice. Stay away from Tennessee though, its horrible, and encourage all your neighbors to do the same ;)

    TRAILER SAFETY CHAINS

I was really hoping Zetah would have answered this philosophical conundrum in his off topic thread. I'm beginning to think he's not as enlightened as he thinks ;) If you think this thread is entertaining, go check his out.

    TRAILER SAFETY CHAINS

Nevermind. The answer they gave was neither practical nor philosophically enlightening  🍿

    TRAILER SAFETY CHAINS

Hopefully the crossed vs uncrossed dilemma will be answered in the exciting 'off topic' thread ;)

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Used the pallet forks for ... well, pallety things.

    Stingy on fuel

They poop everywhere and fight loudly at 2am. Wakes up the dogs. We can't even let the dogs run around the yard free because all they do is eat goose poop and roll in it. If TVA wouldn't fine me I'd go after them with a paintball gun ;)

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I had to cut two 3' x 3' squares out of my garage floor. They weren't breaking up very easily to remove. Instead of breaking up, once I got a corner cleared I pried it up a bit then used the forks to pluck them out. Saved me several hours of swinging the BFH and my back is not sore.

    Bucket thumb or grapple

That is what I have. I don't have a thumb. I was going to get a grapple but after getting the forks I had no need for the grapple. I do what rc51 suggested, pile stuff up on the forks or just scoop and go. If I really needed more than that, the modular idea seems like a good way to go. I...

"I don't read and I'm proud of it"

My wife reads all the time, book after book, and enjoys discussing with her friends. I only read when I have to. I only read to learn, I just don't enjoy sitting and reading a book. Everyone is different. I enjoy being outside doing 'stuff'. I'd rather mow the lawn listening to Tool and...

    Hearing Protection

I use JLab Epic Air Sport ANC. Fit me great, sweat proof, and the active noise canceling feature works better than I expected. I can listen to my tunes without having to crank up the volume, and the HST whine almost completely goes away. I won't get on the tractor or ztr without them.

    TRAILER SAFETY CHAINS

I agree. My utility trailer chains would not bind hooked up to my truck. My friends vehicle has the chain attachment point set deeper so it made the chains effectively too short and one snapped while backing up at a sharp angle. Even on my own truck I have to adjust chain length differently...

    TRAILER SAFETY CHAINS

You bring up a good point. If your trailer ever does detach, slamming on your brakes will send the trailer under and into your vehicle. If your trailer tongue is a straight shaft it can move forward enough to make the cradle ineffective. My jetski trailer is this type. My other trailers...

    TRAILER SAFETY CHAINS

My Kimber is a stock 1911 Ultra carry. Very robust, high quality build that feels super balanced in my hand. I did a quick check. The boat trailer has cables instead of chains, and they originate from a single central point under the tongue, crossing will only cradle if it lands on it just...

B50 series w/ROPS owners, watch out for this...

Dooh, I hate that for you. Luckily I have no need to fold down the rops, and I'm way too lazy to do it for no reason, so I haven't run into that problem. Thanks for posting, may help someone else down the road, good karma.
