Not sure what the best deal is or what model will best suit my needs...

As an avalanche instructor I'm used to judging slope angles to prevent death. Although pics can be deceiving, I don't see anything there over 25ish. If it's dry a BX should mow that safely, a ZT would do it much faster ;) If it's wet, come back when it's dry is my approach.

    BORA wheel spacers

He responded pretty quickly and said they were in stock. I went back to the Bro-tek site and it had been updated and I was able to order. Thanks for the heads up, the email approach solved it.

    Credit Card BS...

Ditti on Discover. I usually redeem the cashback by buying gift cards for Christmas gifts. $25 gift cards for $20 is a pretty good deal any day. Pretty good customer service for the past 30 some years.

Sometimes the right tool makes all the difference. Sometimes even with the right tool the rust still wins. Good luck.

    Truck repairs

Replaced all 4 shocks on the Titan this past weekend. Fronts are struts and I had one spring compressor crap out on me. Luckily no damage, just shot a stripped nut across the garage. Got a cheap set of harbor freight spring compressors and they worked fine. Front right and rear left were...

    How to price a job

My 2 acres takes just under 2 hours with the zero turn. A little over 4 hrs with a BX. $60-12 (fuel)=$48. So that's $12/hour for your time and machine use. Personally, I would tell her she's getting a good deal and that she couldn't afford to pay me to mow it. I would say it with a smile and...

    BORA wheel spacers

I've been trying to order the Bro-tek spacers but their site has been saying "out of stock" for a few months now. Anyone know what's going on there? I may just go with the Bora's instead.

    Baited bear

Does bear taste good? I prefer cattle. Pig is pretty tasty too. You gotta be some kinda super bored to pay somebody to take you out to point to a bear so you can shoot it.

    New LX2610su or 2015 L3301

Looking at your 'chore list', both will handle it well. Difference is in brush cutting. I would start by deciding what brush cutter you want to use. If both tractors have enough pto hp to handle it, I'd go with the LX. If you need the extra hp then obviously the L is the way to go.

    L2501 back hoe

That would be a yes plain and simple. I don't have a thumb yet, but will often have several medium sized pines to move. I'll put a couple on the forks, grab one with the bucket and drive to where I need them. Only limitation is width, you can't drive between anything narrower than the trees...

Processing Firewood the Professional Redneck Way

I'm a cheap redneck. I use my 20" blade to measure for 20"logs as I cut. I use the B's bucket to pile up the logs near the firewood stack. I borrow my neighbor's splitter and get my 21 y/o son to split it and stack it up into the pile. I'm fortunate that I have friends nearby so we can...
