What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Cut down about 20-30 buckthorn and a half dozen dead cedar trees between last weekend and this weekend and made a 6'x20' pile of branches and a 5'x5' stack of firewood. My buddy showed up this evening with his SSQA forks and we loaded up all the brush and crammed it into the 16' dump trailer. I also used the bucket to move about 4 buckets full of rotted stumps the idiot previous HO left behind in the woods. Woods look so much cleaner now and all the rotting branches and problem trees are gone for the most part. I'm very impressed with the LX2610. Was able to maneuver it around trees on unpacked soil in 4x4 and it never skipped a beat or got stuck.

Next weekend I'll borrow his woodland Mills stump grinder and hit a few stumps that are in the way.

Picked up some 20ft 5/16" G70 chain for the bucket hooks, another 6ft 5/16" G70 chain with a slip hook at one end, and a drawbar hook to pull out some really heavy stumps in inaccessible areas of my woods.

Pulled my side rake out to repair it after it broke a yoke last week. Thankfully I found a yoke and u-joints that fit and didn't cost a small fortune, so that has been repaired, but I had to take all the tine bars off and all the bearing housings off, clean them, and toss out whatever bearings were bad, JB weld two housings, and ordered 3 bearings. Tractor is sitting in front of the garage with the rake still attached. I can assemble 4 of the 5 bars now, and wait for the replacement bearings for the 5th bar.

I have yet to touch the MoCo and Baler, and both need work, the baler needs chains and a bearing replaced, and the MoCo needs new sickle bar and guards, along with some welding repairs.

Thanks, will report back this week. Most of my accessible stump removal went well so now I just need to tie a chain around a large stump/rootball and move it out of the woods we're I can get to bucket to it.

Used my BX25D this morning to lift my septic tank cover for pumping…had a chain rigged on my bucket hooks but the cover won that battle. Had to turn around and use the BH and got it dislodged although it was a bit stubborn.
Can’t imagine doing that chore by hand…

Doing some rooting and stump pulling with the LX3310 and HLA root rake grapple.

That^ was the second workout I have given the LX3310. There is definitely a difference with the extra power and R14's over the 2610 with turfs. I could push harder and further before spinning. I was also pulling out small stumps and large roots with a chain and the R14's
performed well. Another bonus is they seem to be immune from the thorns that made my turf tires pin cushions.

I did have one glitch with the chain. I was pulling on a root and the chain came unhooked and flying at the cab. Itmhit the lower rear window and fell to the ground. To my surprise, the window didn't have a mark on it. I'll have a mat or blanket over it next time.

Did my 50 hr service, installed 2 bolt-on chain hooks on the bucket, gave her a bath, and then loaded her up on a tilt bed to head to the dealer. BH70 backhoe is in (only been 6 months!) She'll be back in a couple days. Gonna miss her...

Be careful with the strap across the steps. I know when I, at 325 pounds, step upon my L2501 the step flexes a great deal. I would think that there are better options to tiedown the middle strap. There are holes on my tractor's loader frame that will let you place a small clevis on the loader frame. Then I placed a bigger clevis in the small one. I then run a chain across the bed of the trailer through the clevis. Direct pull on the strongest part of the tractor. I just leave the clevis hanging under the tractor.

I washed all the bugs off the M6060 after its 600 mile trip home. Then I got it off the trailer and took the trailer to the local dealer to pick up the new front wheels/tires. I'll get them on tomorrow but rolled them down to the tractor to see how they'll look. I'm much happier with these new wheels and tires. The O.D. is the same but obviously they're a lot wider.

Lol… never assume the pickup guy knows ANYTHING! Hell, even the guys behind the counters at “my” dealer are questionable. The ONE time I spoke with an actual mechanic behind the scenes in the shop, didn’t give me a warm fuzzy either…don’t forget, nowadays they are hiring anyone with arms and legs.

My wonderful dealer did the same thing, just tossed a strap across the floorboard and took it for a 100 mile trip. Of course the paint was abraded to bare metal at the edges.

I got the new wheels and tires mounted and will never again complain about the weight of the F250 or Jeep TJ 33" wheels/tires. The new ones are beasts and I had to get creative in order to lift them onto the hubs. They look so much better and should do less damage in the field.
