    snowblower gearbox accelerator

That's a pretty big gap between the impeller blades and the housing. I'm thinking you're going to see measurable improvement with rubber seals installed on them.

    snowblower gearbox accelerator

The Kubota blower on the front of our B7510 is using a strip that's about 2" wide. It is mounted on a bit of a diagonal, with the left end (when viewed from behind the blower, looking forward past the auger into the impeller) lower than the right, so it's covering more of the intake side of the...

    Gas Prices

Here in Ontario, a new carbon tax went into effect on January 1st. After doing the necessary conversions to US gallons and US dollars, we're paying about $3.20 for regular gas and about $3.62 for premium unleaded. Don't complain too much about your gas prices, otherwise some level of...

    snowblower gearbox accelerator

Keith - how many blades on the impeller, 3 or 4? This does make a difference, with 4 typically being better than 3. Also, what is the shape of the impeller blade? If you are looking through the auger at the impeller, blades that have an upward-curved surface on this edge, the edge which is...

    B7100 Dynamo reaveals crud

So how does one go about knowing the coolant is "spent"? I recently had somebody tell me that one could use an ohmeter to do a poor man's conductivity test, although I highly doubt the results would be meaningful. I have three tractors which means a LOT of coolant so I'd rather not replace...

    Search button

Same deal here, with both Chrome and IE on a full computer. Seems the quick search function causes a drop-down that falls into an active advertising box on the screen. Best as I can tell, that's the cause. I just use "advanced" searches to get past this hassle.

    B3350 DPF Bypass

I'll second Bulldog's comment about a rear-mount mower. I have two B-series tractors, both with mid-mount mowers. The older one, a B7200, looks like a real handful to install the mower. The newer one, a B7510, is fairly easy when it comes to installing the MMM, but when compared to a 3pt...

Output alternator vs LED light load???

Switching the ground connection is generally a poor idea in machines which use the chassis as the ground path. By switching the ground, one is running a discrete ground wire to a location which would otherwise use a local chassis ground. On the other hand, switching the ground to a relay coil...

    Am I crazy?

MadMax - I can't comment on your dilemma, other than to say that you should let me know when you're ready to get rid of your B7610 as I may want to step up in horsepower from my 7510. Love these little tractors!

    Mid-mount mower, RC60 - 82H, fits what????

Wolfman - since you have access to all the "golden" info sources, is there any way you could do a look-up to see which is the right mid-mount deck for a B7200 HST D, please? I have the 60" deck for our B7200 but its part number sticker is missing - just a big dark smudge where it used to be...

    Square head bolt size

I've found that applying heat using an electric heat gun (not propane torch) really helps these guys come out without fuss and muss. Only takes maybe a minute or less of heat application and they come out quite easily.

Mid mount vs rear PTO for Blower - which is stronger?

Re: Mid mount vs rear PTO for lower - which is stronger? I should add that the father of the young lad from whom I purchased our B7510 and front mount blower cautioned me to ALWAYS be sure of the direction in which the chute was pointing before engaging the PTO, lest I knock a window out. Yup...

Mid mount vs rear PTO for Blower - which is stronger?

Re: Mid mount vs rear PTO for lower - which is stronger? Ummm, hate to break it to you, but I think you've been fed a bit of an old wive's tale. Torque is a function of engine power plus drive line speed reduction ratios. Both mid and rear PTO are driven by the same engine, so same torque is...

    B7200 HST Decompression Lever Questions

Thanks for this feedback, Tooljunkie. Just out of curiosity, do you remember if the decompression lever has hard limits on its angle of rotation? I don't want to end up bending something because mine is quite stiff indeed.

    B7200 HST Decompression Lever Questions

Thanks, D2. I'm struggling to make the parts list search tool work, keep getting timeouts. Will have to find a way to get the parts book so I can see if that decompression lever has detents or mechanical stops to limit its travel. Given the size of the return spring, it's obvious this lever...

    B7200 HST Decompression Lever Questions

Our "new to us" B7200 HST has been doing a great job blowing snow, and it seems like the snow is never going to end... Haven't tried to start it yet when very cold - all starts have been at temperatures of -5C and above. In reading the Operator's Manual I see a recommendation to use the...

    BX front snowblower price

B7510 here... harness for front mount blower is incompatible with harness for mid-mount mower. Not a big deal to remove the MMM harness - or rather, just the two orange-painted plates that bolt onto the front end of the tractor frame. Still, it would be nice if the two implements were...

    B7510 front snowblower

Our B7510 is running a 63" front-mount Kubota blower, It's a good combination, although I think a narrower blower would be a better fit for the horsepower if heavy snowfalls are a regular occurrence in your area.

    Cab progress

I'm not sure you're going to like that strip of checker plate across the back of the cab. I find I often want to look down closer to the machine and that plate would appear to be in the way of doing so.

Need Advice on Installation (Dealer or End User) of Snow Blower on BX Tractor

Orangeglow - we're nearly neighbors! I often go through Prescott to Ogdensburg. WRT moving the joystick fully to the right, yup, that caught me by surprise, too. At full RPM the chute moves very fast. Initially thought that was going to be a problem, but now actually really enjoy being able...
