Gas jumped at least 22 cents a gallon, right after the first of the year!!! Pa is now the proud owner of the highest gas tax in the US, maybe the world I dont know. I figure by spring it will be back over 3 bucks a gallon around here,, went from 2.43 to 2.69 in a snap

In this neck of the woods - it went up about a week ago, 20 + cents.

However - the walmart gas pushed back down to 2.04 , not sure how long that will last. Most everywhere around is 2.15 ish

Where I get my diesel for my VW, diesel is $2.19 and low grade gas is $2.25. Diesel hasn't changed much in the last couple of months.

Tell me about it. I live in monroe county. They're also raising the real estate taxes too. Meanwhile foreclosures are everywhere, home and land prices are plummeting and the local economy is horrible. My wife works at a pharmacy, she says 8 out of 10 people pay for their prescriptions with Medicaid or Medicare. 8 out of 10! Yesterday, someone just robbed a bank 3 miles from my house. This after they closed the police department and they just demolished the local school because they don't have enough money. I can see why local businesses try to take everyone for every penny they can. People are desperate. Up here it's feast or famine.

The running joke is there a a town called tobyhanna where a lot of low income people have moved to from New York. They now call it tobyharlem...

We are paying $2.25 at Costco and $2.45 most other places here in central California. I just paid $3.45 on the coast of California. We are paying $2.99 for propane , what are others paying ?

I bought propane (topped off the 500 gal. tank) 12-19-16 for $1.24

Propane prices vary widely around where I live. Most places within a few miles of my home are $1.40 +tax to $1.50 +tax per gallon. I have seen several places that sell it in trailer parks for double that. I guess that they figure they have a captive market and can get away with cheating those in the trailer parks.

Diesel just went up 20 cents per gallon the other day to $3.00 per gallon. Gasoline is at $2.80 per gallon.

All prices I mentioned are rounded up to nearest penny.

My suspicion is the new regs our out going POTUS signed into law are having an effect though I imagine our new POTUS will reverse them. While I am for the Keystone, it will put a damper on US production. But the end result will be 'cheap fuel'. A fair market price for regular is/will be about $2.15/gal. on average with variation due to local taxes.

2.15/ gallon gas in central Arkansas. 2.49/ gallon of diesel.

Running about the same price in Amarillo Texas.

$2.25/gal for regular up here. We get rewards points from the supermarket we go to which equals to about $.30 a gal every two weeks when I fill the truck.

The increase in gas/diesel prices in Michigan this week is, if I heard correctly, pretty much all due to new state laws to raise enough money to fix our roads and the overpasses which are falling down. License plates are going up too.

Here in Ontario, a new carbon tax went into effect on January 1st. After doing the necessary conversions to US gallons and US dollars, we're paying about $3.20 for regular gas and about $3.62 for premium unleaded. Don't complain too much about your gas prices, otherwise some level of government will pay attention and raise their portion of the taxes because they don't think they're currently getting enough revenue!

Yep! And I was really close to buying another truck. Think I'll be keeping the SUV.

We're $1.09 a litre that's about $4.36 a us gallon, before Christmas it was .92 cents.

It's the equivalent of 3.49 us here in Northern Alberta, the heart of oil country.
