    R3 turfs and snow removal/B2650

After years of snowblowing with bigger tractors equipped with R1-style agricultural tires, I've started blowing snow this year with our B7510 with a front-mount blower and B7200 with rear-mount blower. The turf tires on both tractors do well in snow, but are useless on wet snow that's packed...

Anyone run a rear mount snowblower and no FEL?

It's good to hear from the 'Peg! You guys got some nasty weather this week, that's for sure. In response to your question about running a blower without the loader in place, that's how most of us have been doing it since the dawn of snowblowing technology. It works, just not as well as when...

Clearing snow. Kubota, quad with plow, or snow blower. Go

We live in an area with lots of snow, and lots of cold weather, and even the odd January thaw that produces snow that I call "slop" because it's so wet. Hands down winner, without fail is a GOOD snowblower. I've had an MF-35 gasser, a pair of MF-135 diesels (still have one), a Holder...

    Best Source for Turf Tires?

Looking to replace the rear turf tires on our B7200 as the old ones are getting pretty rotten in the sidewalls. Where's the best place to source 31-13.5-15 turf tires? I see Tractor Supply (TSC Stores here in Canada) stock some Carlisle turf tires, but not as large as I need. Ideally I'd...

B7510 / LA302 FEL "Float" Position - How SHOULD It Work?

As a person who has made his living working in some of the most difficult climate extremes, I choose to wait for warmer weather to do "finicky" work. I'm not old, but lessons learned over the years have perhaps made me a little wiser, at least wise enough to avoid searching on my hands and...

B7510 / LA302 FEL "Float" Position - How SHOULD It Work?

Thanks for the helpful replies. As suspected, our loader control just isn't sticking in the detent position. Guess I'll have to wait until spring to work on this as it's too cold to this kind of detail work outside.

LA302 FEL - How To Detach?

I'll second Ben's comment - our loader is off for the winter, replaced by the front-mount blower. I do wish I could more easily leave the front mount blower harness on the tractor and run the loader at the same time. The dimensions of the blower harness aren't quite right - the tongue of the...

B7510 / LA302 FEL "Float" Position - How SHOULD It Work?

Our B7510 is proving itself to be most useful in these first snowfalls of its tenure at our home. The loader has been removed and the front-mount snowblower installed in its place. The FEL controls are used for the blower - "up/down" controls raising and lowering the blower. "Curl/uncurl"...

LA302 FEL - How To Detach?

Should have updated this some months ago... To make a long story short, the loader is easily detached from the tractor now that I have broken the "rust weld" on the lower loader attachment points. These look like a cross-pin in the vertical loader frame and an inverted half pipe on the...

Snow BLower Recommendation - B7200 Rear Mount

Thanks, Sam. Yes, this is the HST 4wd model. As it turns out, the blower had been sold before I was able to close the deal on the tractor (two different vendors, both in the same geographic area). Guess I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for a blower.

Snow BLower Recommendation - B7200 Rear Mount

Well, it seems one orange tractor isn't enough. I've found a B7200 that is tempting me quite a bit. I'm curious as to what the great knowledge base here would recommend for a rear-mount snowblower for this unit? Yes, I know, the front mount blowers are the cat's meow - I have one on our B7510...

What About Your Tractor Makes You Swear?

Two things get under my skin with our B7510... 1) I've ripped the left leg out of two pairs of shorts as I dismount; the HST range selector lever is in just the right spot to hook inside the leg of my shorts as I lower my foot toward the ground. Frustrating. But the newly-air-conditioned...

    B7510 Front Axle Fluid Type?

Thanks for the helpful suggestions. I just picked up a pail of the Super UDT yesterday and am going to be going outside to do a fluid change in a few minutes. I also purchased the Kubota-branded engine oil (cheaper than buying non-Kubota oil elsewhere) and all six filter elements. Who would...

    B7510 Front Axle Fluid Type?

Front axle is a little low on fluid. Bottom ends of the vertical portion of the shaft are weeping a little fluid so I suspect this has been going on for a while and nobody has bothered to top up the axle. The manual says to use either the same fluid as the hydrostatic transmission (Super UDT I...

Added Hard Canopy - Now Louder

First, a word or two of background... I've spent over half my life in aviation, working on everything from single engine Cessna-style airplanes to Air Force One, including fast attack aircraft and the biggest of transports and helicopters. In short, I've spent thousands of hours around some of...

LA302 FEL - How To Detach?

I exchanged emails with the previous owner - he indicates he was able to remove the FEL without the aid of blocks etc, so I'm definitely doing something wrong. Will give it another go sometime next week when I get a bit more free time. Oh the joys of being on the steep side of the learning curve!

LA302 FEL - How To Detach?

Thanks for the great suggestions. When I was playing with it last night I noticed that even with the bucket (it's the factory bucket) sitting flat on the ground the support legs weren't touching the ground - that's what gave me the inspiration to use the 6x6 blocks to effectively lengthen the...

LA302 FEL - How To Detach?

I spent a good part of the evening messing with this loader... I just can't see how the geometry will work. I got it off the tractor and back on again, but only after putting 6x6 blocks under the loader support legs. To follow the instructions in the youtube video resulted in the loader...

appropriate use of tow behind grader blade

Those turnbuckles on the stabilizers seem like a weak point in the design. I'm thinking I'll order the aftermarket ones made by one of the regular members here. That and a quick attach hitch from Harbor Freight, and the back end of our tractor should be looked after for a while.

LA302 FEL - How To Detach?

After watching that video a couple of times, I think I've got this figured out! Don't know why I never think to go to youtube for this info... Thanks again for the great help!
