    Storing Implements/Attachments?

Yes a large acreage and a number of different machines, 2 sizes of tractor attachments (MX & L series), attachments for the track loader and buckets for the excavator. It's like having a disease but in a fun way, I do have a couple of things that I just don't use like I thought I would. It will...

    Storing Implements/Attachments?

I went with pallet racking, I need to find some time to build a number of custom pallets to better hold some of the attachments. Larger heavier attachments stay at ground level.

    Car Lift For Tractor Servicing

I'm setting up a storage / maintenance shop close to home and plan to use it for personal service and storage of vehicles, equipment and other toys. My son and I enjoy service and car projects. I have been doing some recent investigation in to purchasing a car lift that allows me to work on...

    Switching Tires/Wheels when needed.

Yes I swap a full set of 4, fronts are easy, it’s those rears, the turfs are wider and seem even heavier than the ags, I cannot stand a turf up without help and a long bar, I put the tire onto a 2 x 4 so it’s easier to rotate a little for hole alignment.

    Switching Tires/Wheels when needed.

Yep, I have 2 sets of rims and tires for my L3901, one set Ag and one set Turf, both rear sets are loaded! I use it most of the year at my large northern MI property with Ag tires, then swap it to turf tires as I bring it back down State to use with a snow pusher and rear snow blower at an...

L47 vs. SVL65 Breakout Force - trying to decide between two machines

Why choose one, maybe you should just buy both ……lol. I had my MX5800 and found that a track loader was needed for many other tasks. A high flow track loader can run a serious front cutter, super heavy duty, also a disk mulcher. Track loader does some serious root digging with a stump bucket...

    MX6000 Grill Guard

Another Lown customer here, really like the lower chin guard in addition to the main grill guard.

    Pallet forks

I’d buy the ones on the right for a number of reasons: lighter weight Hitch connection Spear attachment points Quality, these are UA forks these forks are more tractor based, the other forks on the left are more skid steer based. In reality both will work for you, they have similar features...

Who's Using a Trickle Charger / Battery Tender?

Another vote for the Noco Genius battery maintainers, I use 6 of them for ATV, jet ski, UTV, tractors and cars.

    12-16 ton dump trailers

If you are looking at farm dump trailers once you select your tractor I strongly recommend Berkelmans welding.

Big Thumbs Up On The MTL 48" Economy HD Root Grapple

Also running a MTL compact twin lid grapple, it was $999 including delivery, during covid, for the price the quality is amazing, this is a great fit for my L3901.

    Chipper for 3901

I run a WoodMaxx MX 9900 on my L3901, I do a lot of chipping, you cannot beat the hydraulic infeed, not the lowest cost but I think it will be a serious work horse for several decades. my only issue with my L3901 has been a sticking pto cable / lever underneath, keep it well lubricated and clean.

New family member! What did I miss?

I used the following: - Rage Powersport Products ATVFB-3713 Also used: - Black Widow ATV front rack, I purchased a total of 3 and fitted one to my L3200, L3900 and MX5800. Clamp hardware was purchased from Menards. I normally carry a chain saw, gas and bar oil with me at all times on my...

B2920 & attachment advice for small stumps

I do a lot of stump removal and have tried just about every attachment with tractor, track loader and excavator. If your new to you tractor is gong to be your tool, I like the idea of a 3 point, ripper or middle buster recommended above. If you do get a stump bucket it will need to be a light...

New family member! What did I miss?

Consider the area below the grill guard, sticks and branches can get up there and cause damage. Lown performance make a lower "chin strap guard", combine this with a grill guard and you are well protected. Good luck with your new tractor, you will find lot's of uses for it.

Don't pinch your foot taking off a QA attachment !!

Thank you for sharing, we all continue to learn possible risks. I normally undo the levers then get back on the tractor to use the loader to drop off the grapple / forks / bucket. I try to keep my cell phone always in my pocket when using equipment rather than in a cup holder or phone mount...

Paralysis by analysis - Buying decision needs wise input!

Interesting thread, I own both an MX 5800 and a L3901, having read some of the work you have listed, I am firmly with many other users here that have advised on an MX. My L3901 is a great machine for many uses but it does not have the weight and lifting capacity of the MX. If I had to own just...

    Grapple Dos and Don'ts

I'm with Bmyers on the grill guard comment. I purchased a small grapple for my L3901 and quickly realized that I need front protection when using the grapple. Here is my L series with a Lown Performance grill guard and the lower guard which they call a chin strap. I don't have a lower guard on...

    Straps or Chains for trailering?

I use both straps and chains when moving my equipment. Straps may leave less marks or scratches but if I'm travelling any distance I like to have chains even if it's only on the rear of my smaller L series tractors. The last thing I want is my tractor hurtling forward if there was a problem...
