    Telescoping Stabilizers for MX4800?

They are just under $200 for the L series, the MX version, is seriously heavier and bigger, my MX 5800 came with them, I would be lost without them. Sorry to say it but you should not stick with the turn buckles. I replaced 2 sets of turn buckles on my L series, best investment I ever made...

    Front loader lifting boom ?

Take a look at pallet forks.com they sell a 60” tree boom, I have one that I use on my MX and track loader. unfortunately the loader on a LX is going to struggle to lift anything too heavy as you push the lifting point forward of the pins. If your use is not too heavy the tree boom is very useful.

First 5 hours review of L4701HST

It sounds like this is not a tractor that lives in a yard and that you are very active in your pasture and fields. If you can get the dealer to change them to R1 ag tires, you should. It sounds as if you will have a lot less concerns with R1 tires.

Tractor sizing and New vs. Used ?s

Your tractor is not a fork lift. The L3901 is weak at lifting heavy loads, you will barely lift 1,000 lbs with forks on the loader. The MX is what you need but you are a little over it’s lift capacity. Your idea of scooping some of the weight out is good if it is practical. when my MX won’t...

    Replacing L2900

I’d 2nd the L3901 recommendation. I want a minimum of 25 hp at pto. Only reason for you to move to MX is loader capacity.

    Hydraulic Top Link for B2601

Spelling error? You are looking for info on a suitable top link for a B2601. I suggest you first work out the mechanical range of the top link that the tractor ships with, use this to help you select the hydraulic top link.

    Roadside trimming

Wow that’s a pretty scary photo, good to hear the safe ending. Sometimes no matter how careful we are we are reminded of the risks of tractor operation, things can go wrong real quick! I’ve looked at a number of these offset type cutters for my MX5800, but the more I look the more I think that a...

    Wood chipper

I run a wood chipper a lot and have over 6 miles of woodland trails, where possible I will chip with the output falling on the trail, it’s like adding mulch and keeps some of the growth from taking over. I chip a large amount of small trees and branches. If you plan to use a chipper quite a bit...

    Rear Remotes, Top/Tail

I’d have the dealer do the 3 sets of rear remotes. It will be a nice tidy install. I have Kubota rear remote valves on all my tractors and have no issues or leaks. Make sure you tell your dealer what size connectors you want, my dealer put 3/8” on both my L series even though the written work...

Diesel transportation and storage ... any suggestions?

I have one of these and love the ease and pump rate. It is expensive but in the long run it is so quick and easy to use. I just filled it and used all the fuel last weekend between 3 tractors, track loader and excavator! Emiliana Serbatoi Carrytank 58 Gallon Portable Diesel Container with...

    Box blade width

I’d go with a 60” to ensure you can do edge areas or drive edges. I would buy a unit with some weight. Bush hog have a SBX range, Woods, Land Pride and Everything Attachments all make a model that is just under 500 lbs in 60" width. I use a heavy 60” wide box blade on my L3200 HS T with no...

    Flat Face Couplers

I’ve had much better success with flat face couplers not leaking compared with pioneer couplers. I’m considering changing our my 3rd function connections out on my L3901 to flat face as I currently have a leak with one of the pioneer couplers.

    Flat Face Couplers

I'm with je1279 and buy Summit brand on Amazon unless I'm buying larger ones for running high flow (30 gal / min) on my track loader, then I buy Stucci fittings.

    Grapple Decision

MTL are very approximate with weights on their website. My CV 60 had an equipment plate attached by the manufacturer that gives serial number, model etc. and states weight at 360 lbs, I believe this to be correct. I'm not an expert on FEL but I never consider the break out forces. I consider...

    Grapple Decision

The grapples with the longer lower tines root grapples are often quite deep, most are well over 30” deep, the root rake designs have much smaller depths and will close leaving a much smaller opening (clamshell design), this can be important if you are carrying smaller items other than large...

EverythingMoneyAttachments. All the money up front?

I purchased a MTL Attachments 60” twin lid compact vertical grapple for $999 delivered, less than half the price of a wicked 55” single lid. EA makes great products and the Wicked 55” is a great option for light weight needs at 239 lbs but my twin lid was only 360 lbs, weight was not so critical...

    MX5400 just arrived

Congrats on your new tractor, wow that discount adds up! At least your tractor went in your shed with the rops up, many people have a situation where they have to lower the rops everytime. The MX is a super capable tractor, enjoy.
